Had they tested the new alternator they would have discovered it was overcharging. We were given a faulty alternator. We discovered it was faulty at night when our headlights decided to start flickering on the interstate. So, we got a NEW alternator to replace the faulty one. The mechanics didn't say anything about not checking the alternator and even told me that it would take all day to get to it. Perhaps it was the intense smell of cigarette smoke and the fact that I've shelled out a collective $400 for a job that should have only taken $200 but I was not impressed by these mechanics and their lack of follow-through. There are plenty other reliable mechanics on this site.
