Description of Work: Started off great, as they were to build us a custom home. They did not build to our specifications, then tried to blame us for their lack of communication within their company. 2 months in to the project, after they put up the wrong colored brick and mortar, the sales agent said they are not really a custom home builder, more of a spec home builder. They never would state they made a mistake and became telephone tough guys when trying to resolve the issue. We never asked for anything free, but they assumed we were going to and they were happy to terminate our contract and relist the house for almost $18,000 more than what we had agreed on. This is a typical contractor move when they realize they bid the job too low, as they will stop listening to how the customer wants it done and change things to get you to agree to terminate. They also were not forthcoming about their 2nd Bankruptcy in 2013, [first one was in 2008 when the home industry collapsed, so understandable] and the many contractors they never paid. With research, we also found several customers that had bad plumbing in their poured concrete floors that did not get fixed by this company either prior to their Bankruptcies as they were named Greenvale Construction. Funny as to how they didn't have the money to pay their subs or fix thier leaks, but did have enough to open a new business via sending his son Tyler to contractor school (as I don't think you can file 2 Bankruptcies and open up again under the same owner) and buy several lots to build new houses on. Beware.
