The home builder recommended Shannon Spain of Great Paints as the contractor that does his painting, when I wanted to change a couple of the colors in our new home. Shannon used a paint pan with a hole in it and spilled paint throughout the house. He was able to clean up the paint on the hardwood floors and my floor rugs, but his cleanup effort ruined the carpet in the master bedroom. After calling and emailing numerous times, with no response, I asked the builder to see if he could help me get in touch with Shannon. He finally called me back. Shannon admitted that it was his error and that he would replace the carpet. He assured me this wasn't going to be a problem. We even discussed the possibility of filing a claim with his insurance company. I sent him the estimate (which was almost $1000) and have called and emailed numerous times, but he will not respond. Looks like I'm going to have to take him to small claims court.
