This individual was asked to quote for a deck sealing job. OUr deck is 20x30. We were quoted 1400 including materials. We thought that was high and the material quoted was not to be walked on.About a month later he called to do the job and came back out to discuss a quote. That was on Monday April 23rd. My wife asked him to requote as the material we purchased. We talked several times and he was to call back after he found out if it could be sprayed. The next monring he shows up - no call nothing and start to negotiate with my wife. They come to an agreement of 1000 to seal deck as we had allready bought the sealer. Half of the deck was sealed -= much of the product wasted because of spraying spindles. The contractor then decides to go buy more sealer and assumes we are paying this on top of the 1K.The discussion was heated on the phone - but we agreed that I will talk with my wife to check again on what she thought the work included. Before we could call back - about 30 minutes the contractor was back at the house cleaning up. I called him and he was frustrated stating he was a profesional and offered us to keep our money as we need more than he does.We offered one last time to pay the disputed amount of 1K and we will supply materials, unfortunately the contractor then added he needed another $120 to cover another day of rental. We then decided it was best to accept his offer to keep our money If you do work with him - make sure yo uget a detailed quote on what will be performed and what the detail costs are.
Description of Work: He performed work to seal our driveway - $600 and then quoted to seal our deck - 1000
