Gordon Construction

While we are not done yet and the work is ongoing, I wanted to report that this company has been absolutely wonderful! Prompt, professional, courteous, communicative and reasonable. I made one phone call and immediately was put in touch with Josh who came to my aid right away. He was able to help me at a reasonable cost and in prompt and efficient timing. While performing the remediation work and bidding on the restoration, another long-standing issue was uncovered. Josh showed me exactly what the problem was and explained in detail what needed to be done. Any time I have been told that Josh or his crew would be there, they were there. Any time I had a question, Josh responded timely and provided the answers that I needed, even if they were not the answers I wanted to hear. I am glad to be relying on Gordon Construction and would highly recommend this company to anyone who wants to remodel, add on to their home or fix a problem in the home that requires a contractor. Top notch, professional, dependable and honest - I cannot say enough about this company or Josh in particular.

During the ice storm this year we ended up with massive damage to our roof and great room.  When my wife called me and said that we had water running out of the big screen tv, I knew that this was going to be a major problem.  So I called my insurance company to start a claim and the gave me suggestions of two contractors to call, and then said I could call anyone that I wanted.  So I called the first contract on the list and they did not answer, but I left a message, call another one that I knew and call Gordon.  The first two I was waiting on call backs.  Gordon immediately put me in contact with Ashley who took down the basic information and said that he was assigning my case to Josh, one of his estimators.  He told me that Josh would call me by sometime tomorrow, and I was think yea right, but to my surprise he call later that day, after hours,  to talk and to set up a time to visit the fist of the next week as they had to let some of the ice melt.  He arrived on a Monday, introduced himself and we begin to go over the damage not only in the great room, but by the time he arrived the master bed room upstairs as well.  Josh had already brought his drying crew to arrive 30 minutes after he did to start the tear out of the wet wall, remove the tv and equipment and set up the dryers.  He also coordinated with my insurance adjuster, who arrived on site about the same time for everyone to get on the same page.  Then the real work begin - Josh completed all of his estimates and return copies to me and the adjuster, after a few minor adjustments we all agreed and Josh begin to plan the work.  Over the next several weeks, crew after crew arrived and steadily repaired or replaced all of the parts, he coordinated each of them with our schedule and kept the progress on track.  Towards the end of the project, even the owner of Gordon showed at our house to see how the project was going and to thank us for the businesses.  Josh finalized all of the repairs well to our satisfaction and we met one final time to sign off on all of the paperwork to get it submitted to the insurance and our payment.  Josh worked very diligently with us through finalizing the deal since the insurance company made the check to my mortgage company and we had to fight with them to get it paid out quickly.  I will have to say that we have never dealt with a contractor that communicated as easily, quickly and often as needed to complete this project.  I would highly endorse Gordon Construction and specifically Josh for their level of service and workmanship, and would not hesitate one second to use them again.

Gordon came out quickly to run dryers and tear back the carpet. They took with them the cabinet moldings and such. They came back out and removed their equipment in about three days. They had someone to come out and estimate the flooring being replaced and repair and put the house back the way it was before the damage for a little over 9,000.00. I began to question their adjuster who was handling this. When I asked about laying laminate back instead of carpet, the price was about $3,000.00 more than the cost of replacing the carpet with carpet. When I questioned those prices, I found I had a hard time getting Jason there to respond to my questions. In fact, there were several days that would go by and not be able to get a response from him. When I did, he said he would get back to me. I had asked him a question about buying the flooring and having them install it but never got a response from him about that.  They had a cabinet guy who came out and took a piece of molding but never got that back. When the cabinet guy did come back a second time, he said he would have no problems doing the cabinets no matter if Gordon did the work or not. He was going to check with Gordon just to let them know he was going to do the work himself and he never came back, never returned the molding  or anything.  We cut Gordon loose because they were not responsive to my questions, was too high when compared to other people. Our insurance company contacted them and that is where they came in at. 

From the first phone call to Gordon construction, Briscoe was a professional. He visited us within a day or so to provide an estimate, worked with our insurance company, and scheduled all the work that needed to be completed. His entire team of employees where on time, each time and did great work. I've already referred a friend to him. And have another friend to refer. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

I hired Gordon Construction to do several repairs to a property I am selling. Gordon construction was prompt to call me back and to get a quote. I had a home inspection report that required me to complete a large list of repairs and Gordon Construction was able to complete everything on my list. The salesman, Josh, was very professional and honest about what needed to be done. They built a crawl space door, installed some GFI outlets, hang ac lines, repair water damage to the  foundation boards, repair foundation and clean mold. The price was great for everything they completed and I even have asked them to do additional work on another property.

Mr. Gordon and all of his workers were kind, helpful, and professional.  Mr. Gordon came with each new set of workers to introduce them to us, which I really appreciated.  There were only a few days weather did not permit them to work.  There was no way my husband and I could clean up such a terrible mess.  The Gordon Construction Company restored our garage and its contents and we had to throw away very few items.  We appreciate everyone in this company who came to our rescue and would highly recommend them for restoration and for any other work.  We are thinking of hiring them to do some other work at our home in the future.

They were on time and very nice.  They were friendly.  I felt like they were part of my family when they started working.  They were polite and wonderful.  If ever I will have a big company I will invite them, they are an amazing company.  They are totally wonderful and I will recommend them to anybody.  They did a good job and kept on top of things.  If there is something that I wasn't happy with they took care of it.

They did a wonderful job.  Followed up and also became the intermediary with our insurance company.  We did not have to worry about a thing.

They did an excellent job. They were easy to work with. Everything turned out just fine. I've asked them for another quote to do another project.

A VERY pleasant experience!

Contractor did not provide quality work and had to be called back on several occassions. Works is still not completed correctly.
