Freedom Lawn and Landscape

For several years I have used Freedom Lawn and Landscape without issues. The would faithfully show up at the beginning of each season to cut my lawn and email me an invoice. For some reason that did not happen this year - 2018. I left numerous messages with their Answering Service, contacted a former employee, and sent a few emails to find out why they haven't showed up and if there was some issue preventing them from doing so. I came across a video from a couple of years ago they did with a promotional company where the owner talked about their commitment to customer service and communications with the customer. While that may have been true then, that is not the case now. Freedom has acted in a completely unprofessional manner by ignoring me completely. I would be completely open to even receiving a phone call from them saying they cannot service me or do not want my business. I can't imagine they have not received any of my messages. It would seem they are still paying the answering service to answer phone calls but whether they are even in business any more or care about any of their customers is anybody's guess.

They came when they said they would, and did everything to a tee!  They are a great team, and from all the research we did were the best price around!  So very affordable!  They also are very easy to get in touch with and always respond in a timely manner.  We will definitely be calling them back again!

I am very frustrated with this company at this point.  They use an answering service and are very difficult to get in touch with.  I have found that unless you keep calling the answering service, they won't get back to you.  The work is mediocre at best with spots left uncut.  The last straw came this week when they did not show up on their scheduled day (Wednesday).  I waited 2 days, then called the answering service twice before they called me back and assured me that the lawn would be taken care of by the end of the day on Saturday at the latest.  Surprise surprise... Saturday came and went, and no service.  I called them first thing this morning (Monday) - keep in mind it has now been almost 3 weeks since they have mowed.  It is now 1 p.m. on Monday and still have not heard back from them.  That's it - I'm done with this service.  I understand that people can get busy, but if you can't make it on your scheduled day, pick up a phone and let me know - it takes 30 seconds!  Furthermore, if I have to jump through hoops to get you on the phone and when I finally do, you say you will come on a certain day, be true to your word.

Jeff and the crew are very efficient and tidy. The yard and landscape look great! You can tell when you see them in action, they know what they are doing.

If I had known about this company a few years ago, we would have never bought our own lawn mower in the first place.  The quotes I received at the time made owning my own the more cost effective option.  However the work done by Freedom was much better than what I could do myself, was done much faster.  I would recommend these guys to anyone.

I live 300 miles away from my parents' property, and needed to keep it neat and presentable for any potential buyers.  With my first call to Freedom, I knew I had found the right company.  They have been friendly, cooperative, thorough, and, most of all, understanding of my situation.  I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I was looking for someone to take over the maintenance of my yard as my last company stopped servicing my area. I called and Jeff returned my call promptly. He visited my home at his earliest convenience and proved me with a detailed estimate for services. I agreed and he got me on the schedule right away. Since then they have been very consistent. Best part is they will not do anything if they do not think it is needed. I love that.

I left a message requesting an estimate for mowing my lawn. I got a return call late that afternoon or the following day and was quoted $35, which I thought was very reasonable. I was given a two-day window the following week - either Wed. or Thurs. because those are the days they work in my neighborhood. I was impressed that they were able to make it out because it was a busier time before the rain stopped.
They did a nice job. I ended up not going with this company for regular service because as a new homeowner, there are several other services I need this summer that they don't offer - such as tree trimming - so it made more sense to go with someone else so it could all be consolidated. Overall, they did a great job, were responsive, and I would recommend them to others. Good price.

I have been very pleased with this service company.  The costs is reasonable and the work is excellent  They mow my yard and weedeat taking care to adhere to special circumstances I requested, namely:  mowing away from my air conditioning unit and blowing away from my pool.  When Jeff showed up for my initial estimate he had run my property line ahead of time.  No one else has ever mentioned that.  Punctuality is a huge thing with me since I have dogs that sometimes run loose in the backyard.  I need someone to be there when they say they will.  Jeff set a day and time at the onset and they have never missed it.  They also do not mow if my lawn doesn't need it.  I love that.

They were fast and very thorough. It was great.

Over the last few years I have used Freedom Lawn and Landscape to take care of my home. The started mowing for us in 2009. They are a great company to work with, they don’t just show up to sell you services you may or may not need, they ask for business and don’t pressure you. Our last provider just showed up and billed us for anything they could. We appreciate the communication and questions over surprises we used to get. They have helped us with a number of projects over the years. They installed a sprinkler system for us last year and serviced it in the winter and spring, they have installed all new landscape across the front of our home, installed sod, and provide lawn and landscape maintenance services year round. They are knowledgeable, experienced, and do a great job offering service after the sale. They always call you back, the phone is always answered and this is important to us.

The job they did was great. They explained what they were going to do. They were very professional. They came when they said they were going to come. They did a good job. I rate them high overall.

They do a good job and are fast too! Only thing is that you have to ask them to come do fertilizer. I might have been confused but thought we were getting started on a regular routine maintenance where we didn't have to ask them to come every time the yard started to get weeds.

I originally reviewed this company 9/18/2010, and I gave them a good review. Unfortunately, things have taken a turn for the worse. We canceled our recurring mowing appointment at the end of the growing season last year, and then we hired them again in Spring 2011 (but had planned to only use them once...my husband was planning to mow himself for the rest of the season). They came out, did their thing...but came out again, even though we'd only hired them for a one-time mowing (I was very clear about this over the phone). The kicker was, they also happened to mow over my plants this time around. I called to complain, and to also state that I did not want the recurring mowing service again. I received an apology voicemail, which I really appreciated. I didn't want payment, just wanted them to know what they did. It was a one-time mistake. But again, they showed up to mow a few weeks later. At that point I called and just said...since they mowed over my plants, let's just call it even. 

Fast forward to a few months later, when my husband hired them to do some bush and hedge trimming. They came out when we asked them to, did the work...it was so great, my husband also asked them to mow because he thought he was starting to have allergies (a one-time mowing). They were courteous, quick, we paid the bill right then...then my husband decided to just hire them for recurring appointments again. He's now left 4 messages over the course of two weeks, and was even promised yesterday that someone would show up to mow. No one came, and no phone call. Each time, the answering service took the message and promised someone would call my husband shortly...and no one did. I have absolutely no idea what we've done to offend them, and I believe we've given them MORE than ample chance to have our business, but we're officially done. As we've waited for this company to come out, our lawn has gone to seed. We've learned our lesson and will not hire this company again.
