Anderson's Amish Furniture

The workmanship on the furniture we received was excellent. The finish was exactly as requested which was selected from finished wood samples they have in the store. Also, the time estimated to fill the order was 12 weeks. It was available in the store exactly as promised, in fact a few days earlier than 12 full weeks. Dan Anderson was very easy to work with and the entire transaction went smoothly.

I am so glad I found Anderson’s Amish Furniture. I had been looking for a china cabinet that would match my existing dining room table and chairs. Since they are not a common color, I was not having any luck finding something in furniture stores. Custom options from furniture chains and another Amish furniture store were quoted as starting at almost $6000 -- way more than I was willing to pay, especially since I could buy an entire new dining room set for that amount.
I ended up getting a natural cherry china cabinet from Anderson’s Amish Furniture for less than $3000, including a very reasonable fee to deliver it from their store in Mt. Juliet to my home in Spring Hill. It took three months to receive it (which is
exactly what they promised me at the outset), but it was worth the wait. The cabinet was made by an Amish craftsman
in Ohio, where the store owner’s family has contacts. The quality is excellent -- beautiful wood, very sturdy, drawers
that glide smoothly all the way out, grooves at the back of the shelf to display plates upright, a three-way light switch that’s ingeniously imbedded in the one of the hinges so you can’t see it.
If you are interested in buying custom made wood furniture, I suggest you check out their website and showroom for an idea of what they have available. It can be a little confusing to wrap your mind around the different options because they have so
many options available. Their showroom is relatively small, but they have samples of the different wood colors and
stains available. I had narrowed down what I thought I wanted (a Shaker hutch) by looking at their website photos and
calling the owner for a price estimate. We then drove to their showroom in Mount Juliet. The salesperson showed me some drawings of the different options I was considering. They didn’t have the exact same china cabinet in their showroom but she
was able to show me a similar china cabinet made by the same craftsman so I could see the quality, features, and options.
I had been a little hesitant to use this store because I couldn’t find any reviews of it before my purchase. However, I am very happy with my cabinet and look forward to using it for many years to come. Anderson’s Amish Furniture is definitely the first place I would look if I need custom made wood furniture in the future.
