G & M Insulation is locally owned and operated by Roy Meade. Our Office is located in Kingsport, Tennessee and operates in the Tri Cities region to include Bristol and South West Virginia to Johnson City and North East Tennessee. Roy Meade has been in the building industry a long time now and has a complete understanding of Residential and Commercial business and considers the most efficient and effective means of accomplishing the job under any circumstances. Time and money are paramount in the building process and G & M Insulation understands scheduling and building constraints of the Contractor or the very busy Mom and Dad juggling the kids and life in general. He provided very expert advice about the job and stated that this was a project that could easily be done by us.  He told me exactly where we needed to place insulation that we can purchase ourselves from a home improvement store.  It will probably take us no more than an hour to complete the job.  I was very impressed with his honesty and knowledge.  I tried to pay him something for his time and knowledge and he would not accept it stating that he only hopes we will pass along his name to anyone else needing insulation work.  Mr. Meade appears to be a man of integrity.  We will definitely use him again for any future insulation needs.

I had contacted and received a verbal quote from an unreliable insulator. When I was ready for the insulation removal, I couldn't reach them. I called GM Insulation and they came out the next day and performed the removal, After the electricians rewired my house, GM returned as scheduled and re-insulated.12 March.

Only getting estimates. They did not come at the agreed time and said they would test the size from the outside. Never did get the estimate.

They arrived for the estimate on time. The estimate was the lowest of the better companies I considered. They arrived on time to do the job, and were finished in a couple of hours, on time and on price. I had no problems whatsoever.

The workers showed up as expected, were very professional and neat with the work. I already had the batting pulled out of the spaces and had moved items in the basement that would have been in their way. I also covered most basement contents in plastic but when the workers arrived, they covered our doors, furnace, water heater, etc. There was always a chance of some overspray. The work was done pretty quickly and there was no mess. They also climbed in our attic to spray around the chimney area and to let us know that additional inches of insulation needed to be added there. We have since contracted the same company to have 6 additional inches of insulation blown in the attic. These people really seem to know what they are doing and I would definitely recommend them. They do not accept charge cards so be ready to pay when the job is completed. They are licensed and insured and the owner said that they are often contracted by TVA. They seem busy and we have had to wait a little longer than expected to get the attic completed but bad weather really sets them back. The owner said that he travels the whole upper East Tennessee area as well as Virginia and probably other border states.

I was impressed to see that they used high quailty CertainTweed fiberglass blow in for the attic and Owens Corning bat for the floor. Some companies use the cheaper stuff that either packs down or falls apart in a few years. Some companies wanted to charge as much for the cheap stuff as GM did for the good stuff. They were here on the day they said they would be, on time with professional installers, and they covered where needed and cleaned up after themselves. I recommend them.
