POSSIBLE SCAM-- I'm putting in this report because this service provider was suspicious. He showed us wonderful samples of stamped concrete. He said he does stamped concrete for Nissan in Nashville, as well as many jobs in Pasadena (on Colorado Blvd, he said). That didn't make sense to me, as that area has plenty of vendors who do pretty much everything. He said he was tired of traveling, and would do our walkway for a reduced cost. When I asked for a written estimate, he didn't have an invoice or form. He sent us an email with the amount from his smartphone. I got their name from the homeadvisor.com website. I thought I'd start some research. Angies List didn't show any stamped concrete vendors, which is why I thought of going online otherwise. I called back and asked for a name of a local person I could talk to and go to see their work in person. I asked for references. I never heard a call back. Before doing work with this person, be sure to go and see their work and talk to people who have had work done by them. We were afraid that they would take our half up front and disappear.
