My dog was taken to the back within 5 minutes of arrival. She was there appx 10 minutes and we were taken to an exam room and the doctor came in almost immediately. He explained her allergies thoroughly, how she had acquired these allergies and the effect they were having on her. He explained what they had done for her, why he did what he did, and gave us antibiotics to be given at home with an explanation of how to give the med, etc. He encouraged us to contact the office in a couple of days to let him know how she was doing. I call that an interested vet who cares for my pet.

I have used this vet for many years and have always been pleased with the services. This particular visit was an emergency visit. I called the office at bout 9 am and was told to come in at 10:45 am. She was taken into a room in appx 5 min after arrival. She was diagnosed and treated within 15 min. The doctor explained in detail the problem, how the problem developed and how to prevent the problem in the future. He gave detailed instructions on home medication and follow-up. Dr. Hewitt always takes as much time as necessary and you never feel rushed. This is the service I have always received here. In January we lost one of our older pets and the whole office was so supportive. Dr. Hewitt called to express his sympathy and we received a sympathy card from the staff. I feel certain this is the same treatment they extend to the families of all their patients. Staff is wonderful and very obviously love all their and quot;little peopleand quot;.

Dr Hewitt is great. He gave me all the options for the shih tzu and one of the options was to go to another facility that had more experience with spinal injuries. He and all the girls who work there treated my babies as if they were their own. Could not ask for a more caring, honest, give it to you straight vet. He told me that the hardest part of the pup's recovery was up to me and how much I could give him the tough love. He cannot be an active pup for up to 10 weeks. He is available for any questions I may have. He also gave me advice about curbing the morkie's new aggressive behavior since the attack.
