Went well, I thought the price was a little much, but recently having a fire in the chimney and all of the residuals of said fire and the piece of mind of having it cleaned and inspected was ok.

I paid up front at his request but was denied a receipt or proof of payment. Promised over and over again he would do the work on the chimney but their were always excuses and reasons. Paid him in October 2012. Took him to small claims in January of 2013. He admitted his delays and gave me my money back. But he had to because we were in front of a judge.

I called The FirePlace Place on Cumberland Ave here in Morristown, to see if they could come out and service
my fireplace, since the pilot light was larger than it should be--it is
natural gas. 
I was told that I had to pay 275.00---YES  TWO
HUNDRED and SEVENTY FIVE dollars for someone to just come and
LOOK----parts and labor would be extra.  The woman on the phone said the
price was to  cover travel expenses---they are less than 4 miles away
from me in the same zip code.  I live by KMart just to give you some idea of distance.
275 just crosses some indecency line in my opinion, and the woman spoke to me in a "don't give a hoot" tone of voice.
My
friend just happened t be having a wood stove installed along with a
hearth laid, and was very happy with her guy---TONY  from the Hot Spot
in Greenville (I will write a review for him elsewhere).  Tony came over
and FIXED the fireplace--cleaned vacuumed, made sure the floor didn't
get dirty, and only charge ONE HUNDRED for the whole thing.  He didn't
charge travel since he was already in Morristown for the day, and he is a
good 35 minute drive!  Tony is a good guy!!
