Gary'S Chimney Sweep

Gary has cleaned my chimney annually for the past nine years.  I have never been disappointed with either his service or his effort.  This year, because I was unable to find his new phone number, I made the mistake of calling another sweep who claimed he was unable to navigate a long 45 degree offset with his rods and brushes.  After further research I finally located Gary and he came the next day to do the job
His work was thorough and prompt.  He and his assistant were very polite and answered all of my questions.  He was careful to use only fiber brushes in cleaning both the cap and the pipe.  He covered all areas (gravel beneath the clean-out and floor around the stove) to keep both areas spotless.  He assured me that he would call next year to set up an appointment if I happened to lose his phone number or if he changed his phone service. 
Promptness, politeness, thoroughness, considerateness, and friendly service are his hallmarks. 
As far as the cost is concerned, he has to travel more than 40 miles each way from his location to my home.  Were my home located in Morristown I would not be obliged to pay for travel time and costs, but that is the price I find I have to pay for obtaining services in my mountain retreat.  Under the circumstances, and considering the need to climb the roof and clean the chimney cap, I feel the charge is reasonable.
