WHAT A NIGHTMARE! The first indication that I was not dealing with a professional and moral agent was when I met with Alison following an inspection of my property. Alison mentioned that the seal was, "broken on some windows". I responded that I was aware that there was a problem. At no time did Alison mention which windows had failed her inspector's scrutiny, and at no time did I mention which windows I was aware of. Within minutes, Alison contacted my realtor and advised her that I had not fully disclosed problems with the house, placing the sale in a defensive posture. As a potential buyer, I would want my realtor to be aggressive in attempting to secure the best deal for my interests, but the following clearly demonstrates her lack of integrity and professionalism in doing so. Once Alison had made her play, I accepted the faux pas, and decided to comply with her requests in order to preserve the sale.As contractual contingencies were being worked out between the realtors, Alison decided to travel overseas and was AWOL from any negotiations. Even after the sale, I am still waiting for documentation to be signed by the buyers for contingencies to the sale. It appears as if Alison Restivo would selectively process necessary documentation. In the meantime, she advised that the potential buyers had run into financial difficulties in obtaining financing, and requested to push the closing back approximately 3 weeks. Again, in order to preserve the sale, I agreed to her request. With less than 3 weeks to go until closing, Alison refused to adequately communicate what repairs she desired on the property. Attempts to contact her went unheeded. Alison refused to share the inspector's report, leaving me and my realtor with trying to figure out what repairs were necessary to complete the sale. We obtained 3 separate estimates from 3 different contractors. Alison insisted on using her own repairman, who cost more than several of the estimates we received. Furthermore, what started out as broken seals on a still undetermined number of windows, progressed to rotten wood on window casings. Again, when we attempted to ascertain exactly what Princess Alison desired, she dropped out of sight and refused any communications. In the meantime, her clients were displaced from their home and were forced to reside in a local hotel. My angelic realtor (Carri Lyons of CRYE-LEIKE Realty), obtained a repairman to repair assumed rotten wood around the property. In the meantime, Alison unrealistically demanded that the repair work on the windows be effected by her repairman prior to closing. After meeting with her repairman for a third time, we gave the repairman a deposit so that he could order windows. We also communicated to Alison that we were doubtful as to the projected closing date because of the dwindling time period. As it turned out, the window repairs were not completed prior to closing. With a closing date set, I had already established an appointment for the moving company to pack and move my household goods. The closing date on the home out of state coincided with the closing of the property we were selling to Alison Restivo's clients. As inflexible as Alison Restivo was in regards to the repairs, she contacted my realtor approximately 9 days prior to the closing asking if we could vacate the property earlier as her clients had been in a hotel for over 5 weeks while she traveled. There were multiple occasions that I was willing to face a lawsuit and back out of the sales contract based upon Alison Restivo's lack of courtesy, professionalism, and overall integrity. Many times my realtor had talked me off the ledge. I am amazed that Alison Restivo subsists on this planet. A formal complaint is pending with the Tennessee Realtor's Association. Any customer considering using this realtor should really do their homework, as her behavior took a chaotic situation such as a cross-country move, and amplified the stress for even her own customers. I can't imagine treating another human being with such a lack of regard and respect.
Description of Work: Alison Restivo was the agent representing the buyers of my property.
