Terrible. The project was supposed to take 3-4 months. Tate could not keep subcontractors on the job. We had 3 painters, 2 carpenters, 3 plumbers, and 4 tile people. We failed 5 inspections. There were many problems with the construction - 3 crooked walls, entire bathroom plumbed in cold water, fixtures not installed correctly. The rework on the walls cost us 50% more in tile. There was always an excuse and we were '2 weeks' from being done for about 6 months. At the 10 month mark, we gave up and told Tate we no longer needed his help. We completed the project ourselves with a few real professionals. I always found Ken Tate to be personable. He did have a temper, which may have contributed to the turn-over with subs. The problem was - what he said and what actually happened NEVER matched
