Great. Scheduled call late am when we discovered furnace wasn't working. Same day availability. Came at the early end of the proposed time window (this is pretty rare in and of itself), late in the afternoon. Repairman was courteous, prompt, efficient, expert. diagnosed the problem (faulty exhaust pressure safety switch), gave an estimate, fixed it short order and was on his way.

After 10 hrs. You never would have known the installers were there. There is no other company I would recommend in the Memphis area for a new install of HVAC units and components

First time using this company.  Met the owner, Kathe Stewart, at a school auction event and was impressed with theprofessionalism and that all employees are "non-smokers, background checked and drug screened certified".  A reminder card of the scheduled appointment arrived the day before.  The office called in the morning to let me know that the service tech was 30 minutes away.  The service tech arrived, had shoe covers on and was very pleasant and professional.  I decided to purchase the annual contract to service one unit twice a year at $161.

They worked with my Geo Thermal unit's warranty to cover parts.  I did have to pay for labor and the recharge.  It took a while when the weather was cold but to my understanding it wasn't their fault.  They were waiting on the part to come in.  Benefits of having a special heating/cooling unit.  I would use them again.

They were very friendly. I know they were very responsive. One of the times that went out, it was in middle of August in Memphis which was really miserable. They came out as quickly, and it was you know, especially given the number of people. It was one of those weekends where everyone's A/C started going out and they managed to come out in a very timely manner to get something resolved. They've been very friendly, very good about, you know I've never felt like I was being told or sold goods or anything like that, it was very genuine.

Upon inspection, guy discovered that the compressor was not working at all.  He told me that I needed to replace the compressor at a starting cost of approx $2500 or replace the unit which he thought might be cheaper.  I told him I was going to get a second opinion.  Second opinion person discovered the wires were no longer connected to my compressor and the system was back up and running shortly thereafter.  Can you imagine if I had just trusted them and not gotten the second opinion?
Response from Precision Air Conditioning & Heating
"As soon as I read this first time customer's complaint, I called her immediately to listen to her concerns and to let her know we would refund the $79 diagnostic fee (in keeping with our 100% customer satisfaction guarantee). Our technician took photographs at the call to document his findings, so the customer and I were better able to discuss what happened. The technician arrived to find the outside fan running but the compressor off. The wires on the compressor were completely burnt. He replaced them and tried to start the unit. It would not start. He thought the compressor may have overheated, so he ran water over it to cool it down (which usually works if this is the problem, here - it did not). Thereafter, he added a compressor booster kit to attempt to engage the compressor. It did not respond. He used the appropriate meter to test it. The meter showed the compressor was bad. He attempted to perform all the proper repairs to engage the compressor and to cool it down, for over an hour, to no avail. Only then, did the technician condemn the compressor. However, the technician did not discuss all of his efforts to repair the unit with the customer. On the afternoon we performed the service call, it was almost 100 degrees. The customer told me that when she called for a second opinion, they only needed to connect the wires and it started. The only thing we can surmise is that the unit had cooled down sufficiently for the next technician to simply start the unit with the new wires we had already put on the unit and tried ourselves. The compressor must have gone off on internal overload due to the outdoor heat and become hotter still as the outdoor fan continued to run with the compressor off before we arrived. Although we made every effort to cool the compressor and to restart the unit, over an extended period of time, it did not respond to any effort we made or could have made at that time. We made a mistake in not better communicating with the customer about our efforts to repair the unit. Short of rescheduling the customer for another day for our return, there is nothing else we could have done at that time to make the unit operational. I personally appreciate that the Angie's List complaint brought to our attention a flaw in our communication style so we could learn from it and better communicate with our customers in the future in a similar situation. We refunded the customer's diagnostic fee of $79 and sent her some cookies to apologize for the mistake and to thank her for giving us the opportunity to improve our processes. Even after 40 years as a local family owned company, now in our second generation, we are always learning and striving to do better."

They started from scratch and installed all duct work as well.  Everything that you could think of, they thought of.  From the salesperson through installation went smoothly.  The have great customer service and continue to have great follow up.  I have even used their subcontractors for additional work as well.

I got a call from the company to let me know that the truck was about 30 minutes away.  I appreciated that since I had a lot going on at the time and they worked to accomodate my schedule.
When Justin looked over the problem, he told me that I did not need to replace my a/c units as I thought I would have to.  His honesty and integrity were very much appreciated.

Precision is always so professional!  They were right on time, and very helpful.  We recently had our roof replaced and there was a lot of debris in our attic around the unit so he ran the shop vac for me to clean it up.  We skipped a filter change, so we had both filters changed and a check of the heating system.

First learned of this compnay from my home inspector 2 years ago. They did an inspection of my HVAC and found one unit to be defective. They quoted me a price to install new unit but I went with my home-owner's insurance and had it repaired. Two years later system completely failed. Home-owners insurance wanted to put a cheap system in. I decided to settle for cash and called Precision for a quote. I was given the same quote from two years ago and the job was done within 48 hours. Did I mention this all took place during the 100 degree heat wave? That's right...I got a fair quote, quick turn-around when they could have really stuck it to me! Workmanship was very professional. Completely covered all surfaces walked on. Job site was spotless when they finished. Both technicians very respectful of my property. Great company, will recommend to neighbors and to all of you Angie's List subscribers.
P.S. It all started with their rep, Justin. The man knows service.

The work was completed in a timely manner. The workers were on time and professional. They laid plastic over my carpets and wore booties over their shoes, so they would not get my floors dirty. I was at home by myself with 2 small children when the work was being done and was not afraid to let the workers into my house. The workers were clean, well-groomed, and well-mannered. I was very, very impressed with the service I received and would absolutely recommend them again. In fact, Justin just finished his first yearly inspection and asked how things were going. I told him about our utility bills and how thankful I was that we had done the work. I figured the best way to say thank you was to write a recommendation. THANK YOU PRECISION!

Before contracting with this company,I had a least 3 other bids. One company said they couldn't handle it. I related from the start with Precision because they made me feel that they really knew what they were doing..they told me exactly what they knew I needed to solve a complex problem. I liked the fact that they used foam installation which Mr. Stewart insisted he be present to be certain every opening was covered. This has worked well as opposed to the other type as it contains the setting and the unit doesn't run constantly, saving greatly,I mean greatly on utility bills! I can also say you could not find better people to work with!!

They are pretty good. I have a yearly plan with them. So far they have been pretty good; the owner is better. They are pretty punctual and neat. I think having the heater and air conditioner serviced makes them last longer. I will continue using them unless I find somebody better, but I think they are pretty good.

This company and each and every one of its representatives (including Kathe, Justin, Phillip, Lucas, and others) have consistently surpassed my expectations. Every estimate was provided promptly and with five options from which to pick. Every service appointment was a breeze, with the techs arriving on time (if not a few minutes early) and communicating any issues or potential delays. Recently, one of the replaced evaporator coils developed a slow but steady leak in my attic. I emailed the company around 7:30PM one night to request service for the next day. I received a call from one of the owners of Precision within five minutes of sending the email and she was at my house and working to diagnose the problem within one hour (about 8:30PM!). She continued to work until almost midnight! The next morning a service tech came out to wrap up and make sure everything was running smoothly. All of this after-hours work at no additional charge. Incredible experience from an outstanding company.

This company was recommended by my Real Estate agent to do a in depth maintenance and inspection of the HVAC units prior to closing on my house. During their inspection they found that one of the heating units was inoperable and needed to be replaced. The coil was also leaking and needed to be replaced. They estimated that the costs of replacing the unit would be upwards of $4500, which was a significant issue in coming to a final closing price on the house. They were very good about explaining all that they had determined during the inspection and what it would mean for me as a new home owner. I explained that I would want to have the repairs taken care of myself, rather than have the seller fix things, so I could be certain that they were done correctly. I also was interested in taking advantage of tax incentives using more energy efficient units. They explained that this would be more expensive than simply replacing the unit at it's former level, which is all that a seller is required to do, and we discussed the various options. Upon buying the house I had them come out to get different estimates based on what amount of work I would have done; basic replacement, replacement to qualify for tax incentives, replacing the AC unit as well so that it would be compatible with new freon standards (this was something they had previously warned me of before buying the house as well) It was all very thoroughly explained to me by their engineer Justin, who had also done the inspection. He was very good about explaining things to me and answering all my questions. I also wanted to have the thermostats updated to fully programmable, digital units. Because the inspection had been so thorough, Justin was already to have the different estimates and begin work immediately based on which system I wanted to go with. I decided upon replacing both the Heating and AC so that they would be compatible under the newer standards, and would qualify me for the tax rebates. The final cost also included 10 warranty and 2 years service on those units, the house has a second, zoned system that did not need any updating. They started within a couple of days and the work was complete within a week's time. I had this work done before moving in, but they seemed to keep things pretty neat the couple of times I went by to see how they were progressing. Upon completion, Justin met with me at the house to go over the systems. He showed me where and how the air filters could be changed, including the other unit that they didn't work on. There were a couple of things that we had talked about that hadn't been seen to, such as removing humidity controls from a system that no longer functioned. All of this was taken care of within the next day or two.
