The iron work is gorgeous. It took about twice as long as promised with minimal communication, hence the lack of all stars. Ultimately, the owner stepped in to make it right. A quality company with quality employees doing beautiful work that will last generations.

- The salesman promised a 6 week turnaround, took my deposit, and I never heard from him again. When I followed up, it turned out my order had not been started. - When the door was finally delivered, 3 months after my order, it had been made incorrectly. The specifications had not been correctly communicated by the sales team to the building team. I foolishly paid the balance, trusting that Pickle would resolve the problem. - It took months to get the corrected door and it was wrong - yet again. And still wrong third time. - Instead of working actively to resolve my problem and communicating with me, the folks at Pickle avoided me and did not return calls. Eventually I had to work through the owner's mother to get anything done. - The end product was never up to the quality promised but frankly, I gave up. Their poor service and lack of responsiveness wore me down. I've always wondered if the sales person sold something that was just beyond their capability. That can happen - but if it did, Pickle was responsible to either deliver or give me my money back. - This was 7 years ago so maybe things have changed but I'd suggest that anyone working with Pickle on custom work set some clear expectations and deadlines. And tie them to money. And talk to someone besides the salesperson to make sure that what is being promised is something Pickle can make. - I used Pickle because I'd heard good things about them. It is mostly the way they handled the problems - by ignoring me and avoiding me and frankly blowing me off that is the most frustrating problem.
