Overall the service is ok. They are very organized when it comes to starting up and closing down the system each year. Two years ago I redid the hardscape in both my front and back yards and they agreed to adjust the irrigation system where needed. Afterwards, I found them to be quite unwilling to make changes to the system when I mentioned areas that either received too much water or not enough. I sent them a detailed, written list of problems to which they never responded.

I called several businesses that didn't want to deal with such a small repair job. Pettit's came out within a week to provide an estimate, and accomplished the repair professionally within a couple of days of their estimated date despite weather delays.

I liked their ideas. The gentleman that came out and made the suggestions and the design was very good. They planted the wrong trees in the wrong places. Two days after they planted the trees one of them fell over and I called them and they never returned my call. I had to re-plant the tree myself and it was a 6 foot tree. It is crooked, but it is alive. I feel that a tree that size should not fall over two days after it has been planted.

They planted rose bushes and during the winter they died and had to be replaced. They had planted them so shallow that the wind and the size that they were by winter just pulled them out of the ground and they died and new ones had to be planted.

The mulch they used was filled with nut grass seed. I never had any problem before and I never had nut grass until that mulch was put down. Their price was competitive; I had no problem with the price they gave me.

The representative that did the design was very professional but the workers who came to do the planting did not know what they were doing. One of the reasons that I went with the company was the designer and other people's recommendation. I would not use them again in the future.

I have been working with them for twelve years. I have always gotten great service from them. They call ahead of time and let me know what I need to do before they come.

His men didn't properly plant many of the azaleas. They just popped them out of the pots and stuck them in the ground. Without loosening the roots, they couldn't get adequate water. (We found this out when the other company came in and showed us why the azaleas died. I don't blame Chris. It was lack of supervision that caused the problems for us. I have also tried to reach Chris, and he does not return my calls. He gave me an estimate for irrigating the yard (in its entireity) it was over $8,000. Which seemed to be rather high BUT it did include all our beds. We didn't do it because of the price. We still have not irrigated the yard as the seller of the house lied to us about its condition, and we've spent that money making the house livable. The reason I would not use Pettit's is their failure to return calls and give good service.

Fair. Chris' brother, Mike, is bad about not returning calls--we've been waiting for months. Chris is a super nice guy, and had he been present all the time, I doubt this would have happened.

Where we wanted evergreens, we got crepe myrtles (spring and summer). All 5 plants that they brought turned out to be dead. They said they have a one year guarantee, and they honored it with 5 evergreens which were planted in the fall (plus we purchased 2 more to go with them). Of those, 2 are dead and they have promised to replace them. Most of the other shrubs they planted did ok, and the other small plants that didn't survive they have replaced. Overall 1/3 of what they planted has been replaced.

I feel that they may have charged me double for the price of the sod. They came when scheduled and did a good job. They left me instructions for the maintenance of the lawn. I would hire them again but would do more negotiating on the price.

Pettit's Provided a detailed, written estimate for both jobs. They were on time for the estimate and to do the work. They sent a large crew to get the job done in two days. Matt Lilly was great to work with again. I have used him for several other jobs (large hardscape/ landscape project, irrigation). We are very happy with the results. Looks great!

We needed to find a professional company with experience in this field. We found this company to be absolutely perfect. We were so happy with the way everyone treated us. The guys who did the installation were very friendly. They did not make a huge mess. What mess they did have they cleaned up perfectly. We found their prices to be some of the very best we found.

I am happy with the performance of the irrigation system. It does a good job. But the inspector never passed it. I have contacted them twice but they have not come back yet. I had our system drained and that guy said he would mention it too. I understand that the inspection requirement responsibility lands more on them than on me. I was happy with the installation at the time of the service.

My yard gets irrigated very easily and evenly know. The system works great. It comes on and turns off when its done. The installation went quite easily for them. They cleaned up all the dirt and filled in the holes where they dug. I just had nothing to complain about.

I was pleased with the service that was provided. I would definitely recommend this service to anyone that is in need. This company is always on time and very friendly. The price is reasonable and they make sure to answer all of our questions.

The entire project was completed in a timely manner. They had it done by the time they said it would be completed. We were treated pretty good. They did arrive on time to start the project. We shopped around and decided to go with this company. They were recommended to us by a friend. We have had no problems with our new system.

This company did a fantastic job on the work. I am very pleased with them and I will continue to use them for years to come. They really put forth a great effort and completed the work in a great amount of time. I would recommend them to anyone.

My neighbor recommended this company to me because they had used them to install a sprinkler system at their house. They did a great job and my sprinkler system works great. I have not had any problems. They were very friendly, courteous, and professional.

I had heard of this by our neighborhood newsletter. They were careful workers as they replaced our sod after installing the underground lines. They left our lawn looking very nice. They hid the back flow behind a hedge so it would not be visible and covered it with a special green cover which blends it in well. The irrigation system works perfectly and I too will be recommending this company.

Chris, the owner is a super nice guy. I signed up for his services right away when I met with him. However, I would not recommend them at all. The sprinklers are fine it s the dead shrubs that are the problem. I was told if any died when they were planted they would replace them free of charge. They are not doing well and many have died. No one will come out to take care of this. I feel they don't stand by their word. Even though the main part which was the sprinklers is fine I still would not use them again.

They did a pretty good job but some of the shrubbery didn t look as good as I thought it would. I think maybe it was planted in the wrong place, but I agreed to everything they did. They left the yard looking good and they were on time. They also maintain our irrigation system and they do a good job with it. I like them and will recommend them.

They are the ones who did all the original landscaping in my yard and they did a wonderful job. When we wanted a few shrubs replaced we called them because we knew that they do good work and they didn't cut any corners. They took their time to make sure everything looked great.

Does good work at a very good price.
