Brandon and another technician came to my home to repair my tub. They were very unprofessional playing loud music and sitting in the work van for over half an hour. They came to repair my tub replace the drain gasket and clear the drain. I paid 325.00 dollars for this service. After they left I took a shower and the tub still did not drain. When I called back, they said they would send someone out. When he came out he said it would be another 125.00 to clear the drain they fixed the day before. When I called the office back Glen told me to find another Plummer and hung up on me. This is the most unprofessional, rude, rip off in town. BEWARE!!!!!

Honestly, their plumbers were at my house within 15 minutes of my call. Fixed the problem in no time. Service technicians were honest, knowledgable, and professional. I have used National Economy a number of times. They are a great local company with much experience working in older Midtown homes.

The water heaters are located in an upstairs attic.  There is a very long stairway to the upstairs and the attics.  We live in a nice house and I was worried that that rusty water, or dirty boot prints, or insulation would mess up the fine rugs.  I also worried about scratches to the newly refinished hardwood floors.  No problem!  The two plumbers were neat, thorough, organized, and clean.  They wore booties over their shoes and took them off and put them back on every time they had to leave the house to get to to the truck.  They wrapped the water heaters in canvas tarps and made sure not one drop got on the rugs or the floors.  Their work was immaculate.  The installation was neatly done and up to code.  They could really be proud of the installation once done.  I haven't had a minutes trouble from the water heaters since the work was done over a month ago.  Use these guys.  They are not the cheapest, but they are the best and that cost us less in the long run.

The plumber that arrived was nice enough, but did not show up with the proper equipment (I advised Nat'l Economy that per the work they did three years ago, a 100' camera/auger would not be long enough and that 150' equipment was necessary). After an hour of incompletely scoping 2/3 of the pipe the guy told me he could not completely determine the condition of the pipe because he needed equipment with a longer wire. Also, he found a portion of a broken auger cable that he thought might tangle with his line so he was not willing to clear the pipe. I offered the idea that National Economy broke a cable in the line during their last service and their response was that they would have noted that if it had happened- I thought that was unlikely since they didn't bother to record their prior need of having to send out a second crew on another day with 150' equipment to perform the work back in 2011. After receiving my bill, I called National Economy and they told me their quoted price of $375 was for the camera scope service and that clearing with an auger afterwords was free so they would not adjust the price. When I indicated that they neither scoped the whole pipe as requested nor cleared the pipe, and extensive reasoning that they hadn't really done any of the work I asked of them, they would only adjust the invoice "to cover their cost". Not a business I will deal with again and I wouldn't recommend using them to anyone else.

It took two different crews on two separate days to clear the drain. It is very difficult when you are attempting to clear drain lines in the walls. It is difficult to make your clearing cable to make ninety degree turns inside the walls. But they were finally successful.

They came out the same day near Christmas and cleared the drain using a plumbing snake auger then repaired/replaced the leaking pipes under the sink. I didn't get a chance to view the work myself but my tenant was very pleased.

They were by far the best price for a new water heater. The really impressive thing that happened was the service provided a few months after the initial installation. The new water heater had a defect and was leaking. (this was a manufacturing defect not the fault of NEP). They came out and installed a new heater without any quibbling or giving us a hard time. Very impressive and great service.

I used them eight months ago. The job went very well. He was prompt and very competent. They solved all my problems and knew exactly what they were doing. I don't recall the price. The quality was excellent.

We searched Angie's List for gas fireplace repair provider and selected National Economy Plumbing. After couple exchanges of phone calls to find appropriate time for repair, Shane and Austin arrived to repair the gas fireplace on a day of nasty weather - ice storm warnings - in Memphis. They quickly identified the issue - dust in pilot line, pilot light not working - cleaned the line and had fireplace working within 30 minutes. Both Shane and Austin were very professional and courteous and skilled in repairing the fireplace, they showed me couple items about fireplace controls I was not aware of. National was very responsive in attempts to schedule service and I would highly recommend their services.

There really wasn't anything I disliked about National Economy Plumbing. The owner is very helpful and very knowledgeable. He's got a pretty good team. I would tell people interested in them to call and ask to talk to the owner. He's very friendly. He's got a great staff. They will get back with you if there's any issues or problems. He sent me a bill in the mail, instead of having me pay while he was here at job completion. That's something that was unheard of.

I like them very well. They seem to be very honest and straight forward. I just like to use them. There is no typical price in plumbing, it depends on how long they are there and how many parts they use. They call me before they come.

I've used them before and have recommended them to others. What I always tell people is they are not cheap! as you can see in what I spent and my rating of price.
But... I can get them there the next day after I call them, tell them what I want done and then know that it will be done. I don't have to watch them. They don't leave a mess. And if there is a problem, I know I can get them back out to fix it. All of this is worth a lot to me.
