Midtown Kay-9 Care Home Visits

For the last 3 years I have come to rely on Andy whenever I have to leave town, whether for a day or two or a few weeks. I have six rescue cats, each with different personalities and specific food favorites. It can be a challenge even for me to keep them all happy, yet Andy has the magic touch - so much so, the zoo seems sorry to see me return. Andy is completely reliable, totally trustworthy, and leaves my house neater than when I left. He loves animals and it shows in his care for them. He's also a great, fun person. Because I am a super-concerned pet mom, Andy texts me photos of the kitties every time he visits (which is twice every day). I really appreciate that extra touch. I should also note his costs are extremely reasonable for the care he provides.

While on vacation our friend took care of our dogs but while she was at work, we needed them let out during the day.  We called Andy after reading other reviews on Angie’s List and were thoroughly impressed.  Andy came out to meet the dogs..and us… and it was immediately apparent that he was even better than the reviews.  Our dogs loved him!  We had him come out a few days before we left town so he could introduce his dog, Momma, to our crew.  Momma was fantastic with all the dogs.  Our Siberian Husky is a big baby and very vocal.  Some people are skittish with a dog that looks like a wolf play growling but Andy didn't bat an eye and Momma didn’t either.  Momma’s has a very calming nature and the other dogs picked up on that immediately.  By the end all were running and playing together.

Andy came each scheduled day within our desired time period for about 30 minutes.  He played with dogs, made sure they had water (he would have feed them as well but not their time to eat) and sent us and our friend a text with pictures of the dogs.  It was apparent that our babies were loving their day visits from Andy and the daily pictures really helped with missing them.  Plus Andy takes great pictures…one of his pics is now the screen saver on my phone.

My husband and I are very picky about the care of our dogs and could not be more pleased with Andy and his care of our babies.  It is a given that he is our first choice for our dogs when we need a pet care giver.  Aside from how great he is with the dogs, he is just a wonderful person.  It is obvious he loves animals and they know it too.  I cannot recommend Andy more highly..he is just the best!

I have used umpteen pet sitters over the years and they were either irresponsible or unavailable for future visits. I was lucky enough to find Andy through a referral and couldn't be happier. He is kind, funny, eminently responsible and trustworthy, so much so that I gave him a key. The acid test is that when he arrives for a pre-trip check-in, the dogs run to him with the canine version of open arms. Highly recommended.

I have one very trusting golden and one golden that is a rescue and needs some extra attention and Mr. Kay was very patient with both of them. We will definitely use Midtown Kay-9 Care Home Visits again!!!

Andy is great. Very attentive & does a great job of sending pics & updates during his visits to let you know how things are going.

Andy was wonderful with our dogs. During the initial visit, he was very thorough and sat on our floor to play and get to know our dogs while we were there. One of our dogs is very timid, but he hit it off with Andy almost immediately. During our time away, Andy walked, played and fed our dogs and bought in our mail. After every walk/ play time, Andy took pictures and texted them over to us. They looked very happy, and some of the pictures that Andy took were some of the best pictures that we have of our dogs. Andy was great. We will definately use his services again, and he was very reasonably priced.

Andy is very professional, he is absolutely trustworthy, he has a set of our house keys. He is flexible, on time, reliable and has great knowledge of dogs. You can tell that he truly loves animals and knows how to handle them even if they have certain issues. We have four dogs, each very different, but he is great with all of them. We sometimes meet him during our walks and they are super excited to see him which makes me even more confident that he is wonderful. My husband and I both cannot recommend him enough, his rates are very affordable, he is very flexible and does whatever it takes to keep your pet on his routine.

Andy is first rate!  Last trip out of town, Memphis had some of the coldest weather on record.  Andy proactively opened the cabinets under the sinks and got the water dripping.   He also did a test run with the generator while we were gone to make sure it was working and that he could get it started in case the lights went out.  (We use it in emergencies to run a heater for the parrot and keep the refrigerator going.)
Andy's great with animals, you can tell he really loves them.  He even get's along with our parrot, who is rather nippy, and is able to get him in and out of his cage for his daily outing. 

We were reluctant to go out of town without our dogs when our usual pet sitter had to cancel on us. I found Andy on Angie's list, and gave him a call. He was very professional, and met with us prior to our trip to meet the dogs, learn our routines, and get an overall sense of feel of how our house was run.  Each time he came over to our house while we were gone, I received a text message from him letting me know that he had arrived, and I also got another text of a picture of one of our pets with a cute caption. It was nice to see that my pets were taken care of, and I also liked being reassured  that my pets were being taken car of by having a picture sent to me to let me know he came by.
When we came back into town, our pets were well taken care of, the mail was brought in, and the house was cleaned up a little bit. We were pleasantly surprised. It looks like we have a new pet sitter!

Overall this was a very positive experience with Midtown Kay-9 from start to finish.  No complaints - great service.

We absolutely love Andy!
He is wonderful with both our dogs. They just love him. He is great with our deaf Dane and is incredibly patient. He is punctual, absolutely trustworthy and just a great person. He has a great perspective and did not mind when one of our Great Danes had an accident in the house from an overnight peanut butter raid in the kitchen. (evidenced by an empty jar) ie Great Dane stooled in the house. He was very thorough and caring and did not mind the mess!

I have two boxers and one is getting older. They do so much better when they stay in their home, but I had a funeral I had to go to out of town and stay over night. This was all unexpected and I needed someone fast. Andy was able to stay with the dogs over night at my house and the dogs were so much better for it.Thanks Andy!

My husband went out of town, leaving me with our 3 dogs. I work 3pm-10pm and was loathe to leave them in the house all that time. Andy came and let the dogs out, fed them, took our oldest dog for a quick walk and gave them all plenty of belly rubs. The dogs just adore him (I try not to be jealous). We trust him with a key to our home and with our dogs. He is reliable (which is so important) and very professional.If you have dogs that aren't doggie daycare friendly or compatible, I cannot recommend Andy enough for home visits.Your dogs will love him. I'm sure your cats would, too..but we are a dog family.
