Merry Maids kept my house that I owned a couple of years ago clean while I was traveling and trying to sell it. I really like them. They'll be coming out soon to clean the house I'm in now. They've cleaned my windows and really did a good job. They've sent four girls out here to clean the windows and they got it really clean. I've got a big house, and they did a good job with the windows. My husband was here when they came and he was so impressed, I think he tipped them more than what we paid them. They're very responsive and came out the same day I called them. I had company coming over on a short-term notice and they came out quickly. They were really organized and knew exactly what to do. They were out here for about four hours. 

I have used Merry Maids for almost a year now due to a contract I signed with them in September and it has been a terrible experience.  My house is 4,000 square feet and two women are finished in less than one hour.  They are paid by the number of houses they complete so everything is rushed and there is no attention to detail.  Today will be the last day they come to my house.  As a previous reviewer stated in the initial interview they state if you are not satisfied they will send the crew back out to touch up what you complain about.  I work and if I wanted that big of a headache every week I would just clean the house myself.  It is usually the same repeated things I comp;ain about time after time.  Another reviewer reported about their kitchen floors making their socks black when they walk on it after they "clean"  I have found this to be true repeatedly and is a frequent complaint of mine.  They mop with dirty water and don't change it.  My bathrooms are glossed over but not cleaned.  Hairspray residue is often left on surfaces.  I frequently complain about mirrors and dusting.  They will send someone out to address what you complain about but who wants that continual hassle.  I expected some adjustment period but at one year of service I expect my house to be cleaned according to what they say they will deliver.  That has not been the case.

When the gentleman from Merry Maids came and went through the house with both me and my wife, he explained what they would do and asked us what we wanted. It was convenient for us because there are something that we didn't want them to touch and other things. He said they would do whatever we want them to do and then gave us a price and started doing. The experience with them has been excellent. I've always been happy with them. My wife, who is a pickier about the cleanness of the house than I am, has a specific maid that she prefers and she likes the quality of her work. The price is pretty good because they are licensed, bonded, and insured, which is a big plus for us.

I wasn't satisfied at all with them. They rushed and they charged too much for what they did. I don't know what chemical they used on my kitchen floor but it was not clean. When I walked on it after it dried, my feet were black on the bottom. They came on time but they would leave almost immediately so I know they couldn't have done a good job. I won't use them again.

They came and gave me an estimate first. If the house is not clean to your satisfaction, they will send someone back out and re clean your house. This was my first time using them.

I had some issues with their timeliness.  I had my mother-in-law at home and she had alzheimers.  I needed them here by 11:00 am and I had problems getting them here on time.   I no longer have that problem.  As far as their cleaning, I am much better at it, but getting too old to take care of the cleaning.  They do a good job of vaccuming and the bathrooms.  Their dust mopping and dusting is just average.  I am contracted with them until August.

They are usually pretty good. I have used them several times now. There has been one or two occasions that they did not do a great job but most of the time they are ok. I think they do a satisfactory job.

I called Merry Maids and a sales person came to look at my house.  He gave me an estimate and we setteled on a date.  The first cleaning they did not clean the floors, my kitchen countertops or finish cleaning the oven that I had paid extra to have done.  They took out the trash in all but one room, made the bed, and cleaned the bathrooms. I was very unhappy that I had spent $100 for so very little to be done.  I called they supervisor at Merry Maids and he assured me that he would have them finish the oven on the next visit and personally come supervise the next visit.  That cleaning was much better.  The last cleaning I had they didnt even sweep the floors, or clean the cabinets.  As soon as the contract expires I will not ever use them again.

Horrible. I was left to o it all myself and I am handicapped! Price was too much for the nothing they did. Will NEVER use them again

My first cleaning was perfect, and I am really, really picky ... the price was competitive and piece of mind 'priceless'. :)

I used their service for 3 years. Overall, they are pretty good as cleaning services go. I was given different teams until we finally settled on a good pair of ladies who I believe work hard and do a good job. I spent quite a bit of time training them to address the things that matter to me. Sometimes they missed things, and I politely mention it and they take care of it. They take about an hour and 15 minutes to do the cleaning and charge $110.00 every 2 weeks - which is pricey. When they tried to increase my rate, I discontinued the service. I noticed another report stating they were charged $90 for a 6,000 square foot home..... hmmm

After they left( WITHOUT mopping the kitchen floors, cleaning the cupboard fronts, cleaning the kitchen table, cleaning the laundry room, leaving haze on bathroom counters, NOT cleaning my garden tub OR scrub the master shower stall or mop floors in master bath) I cried.....I was just at my son's apartment cleaning it for him while he was out of town for a week, and was looking forward to coming home to a nice spotless home myself, but instead was left just feeling very overwhelmed. I would pay MORE to have the entire house cleaned, I just want it done , and done well!!! I actually used to clean homes when I was younger for a living for awhile, and I keep my house very clean as it is, so it really ticks me off that I am actually paying people to come into my already pretty clean home, to have them make it dirtier upon them leaving. I put up w/ it for too long as it was just easier to pretend/hope it would get better, but it never did. I did write an email to Arminda explaining what had happened and sent her photos as well and did tell her I did not want anybody coming back to 're-clean' my home. The following week I got a call from someone other than her reminding me of my next cleaning. I told the person I did not want anybody coming to my home anymore and to cancel my service. She asked why, and I told her. I feel like I should have been given my $ back seeing as I spent the next 5 hours or so after they left that Friday re-cleaning stuff myself----in tears.

The fact that they charged us $130 to clean a 1300 square foot home to begin with was pushing it, but then to do such a poor job, break a fixture in our home and over charge us for a total of $170 is totally unacceptable. (My husband was home and made out the check, not knowing what the rate was supposed to be). So now we have to find a similar soap dish, have some one install it, send them the receipt and wait for a reimbursement (except for the installation, which they are refusing to pay). I am currently waiting for a refund on the $40 overcharge. Do not use this company unless you don't mind cleaning up after the cleaning crew.

They are on time. They seem alright other than not doing everything. They only stay about 3 hours. They don't mop the kitchen floors or bathroom floors.

I've had them out twice a week for ten years now since I first got my home. They have always been reliable and hard working in my home. I trust them in my home and have not had any issues with the service or staff.

At first it was clear the baseboards had not been cleaned so since satisfaction is guaranteed I called and they came back out. They cleaned the base boards- mostly the ones I pointed out. But now as I continue to unpack I find cobwebs, areas not cleaned. I'm not calling them back. Don't want to deal with a third time, but I would not use them again. Also the estimate for cleaning the outside of the windows (with stormwindows) was $45 for each outside window- did not include inside. I have another bid for $10 a window inside and out!

Merry Maids does a great job of cleaning our home. They are very thorough and get everything very clean. We have been using Merry Maids for about six years and have not had any issues with the quality, they are very honest workers.

Merry Maids comes here every other week to do the deep cleaning. I can still keep up with the day to day tasks. I have them do the floors, clean refrigerator, bathrooms and such. They do a good job. I am happy with their services. It makes it easier for me. I will continue to use their services.
