After my last review Dan from Memphis Fence called. He had never received my messages. They have done the repairs necessary for my gate work. Hopefully it will be a permanent fix.

Please note the price would have been a B had I not continuously had issues and now have to pay someone else to solve the problem. Project had delays but that was not a problem. I understand weather and personal issues can cause delays. The problem is I have had issues with the gate since day one. It is a solid gate so wind caused issues. The automatic gate installer was able to solve that with an automatic latch. It is my understanding that the post that the gate is attached to was not secured properly for the weight of the gate. The gate is now leaning and will not match up to the latch. I called several times but always got the answering machine. I left messages but my calls where never returned. I now much call another gate company to reset the post.

Very slow and not quite as expected. Deposit was made 06/16/17 and project was finished in late September. After nearly 3 months of ignored voice mails and emails I finally had to contact Dan the owner and things then started to happen and fast. So fast in fact the gate was installed with no catch to support the gate when closed and 2 lag screws in each rail spot where there was supposed to be four holding the rails of the fence. After having the company come back out a few times to install a gate catch and locking mechanism and to also install a sliding roller to keep the gate from scraping when opening and closing along with the missing lag screws I finally have a gate. The gate does not open completely due to the locking mechanism being an after thought and the catch will poke you in the head if you are not careful when passing through the opening. I assumed that for the priced they charged I was going to have a very well built and functional gate. I have pictures so you be the judge. Overall I feel like I paid about 2,000$ more than I should have.

They were fast about getting out and quoting the job and scheduling it. They came out early and installed a temporary chain link fence until they could get to the wood fence. They dismantled, hauled away and put up posts one afternoon and then finished the installation the next day. The material and work was high quality. The only issue other than a higher price was the clean-up. We found several metal pieces from the chain link fence and wooden scraps from the old fence still in the yard. I would recommend them based on their responsiveness, professionalism and quality of the work.

The end product is top notch in quality and looks.  Getting there was a little rough.  First they sent out two guys to set the posts and they set them in the wrong place and they were the wrong posts and they spread the mud all over the front yard killing much of the grass and creating a mud pit for the winter.  They came and got the wrong posts and were supposed to clean up the piles of mud but that never happened.  When the correct posts were set they sent another crew who were top notch and everything went perfectly from then on and we were very happy with the crew and the work they did.

My no. 1 priority when I moved to Memphis last year was to have new fencing installed in my back yard. Katie Milton was my go-to person for everything, and I believe she coordinated the scheduling, etc., for the fencing crews. First, they came to my home and measured my yard and the driveway for the gate. Then Katie discussed with me ideas for the fence, and assisted me in selecting a design for the gate, even sending pictures for ideas. After my selection was made, Katie negotiated a good price with me.

Next, Calvin and his Crew came and tore down and hauled away the old fence. This included sawing down an overgrowth of small trees from the city easement side of my backyard. No debris was left in my yard..they were very thorough. I never saw them slacking off. They worked from early morning until evening.

Then Calvin and his crew installed the new cedar fence... and this too was done efficiently and quickly.

Katie worked with me on selecting an electrician for the electric part of the gate, i.e., getting electricity wired from house to gate. This was completed in a day.

And last, but not least, Kenny and his crew came to install the gate. This involved digging very deep holes and pouring concrete to support the very heavy wrought iron gate. This, too, went very smoothly and efficiently. The gate is beautiful, and goes so well in my East Memphis home.

Katie made several trips to the jobsite during all of the installation to see how things were going; and I believe this helps her in understanding the dynamics of the job, so that she can better serve Memphis Fence customers.

There were other things that Katie, Calvin, and Kenny did for me that went above and beyond what the job required. They helped to make my move to Memphis much smoother. Kudoes to them!!!

I was very impressed with Memphis Fence.  We remodeled our house and I had found a fence from a company in Georgia that I wanted. We reached out to 2 other fence companies and the price per foot that we were quoted were 2.25 to 2.5 times the price detailed on the Georgia company's website.  I had give given up on getting the fence that I wanted.  After looking at the fence that Memphis Fence had built for a friend of ours, we reached out to Memphis Fence to get a quote on an 8 foot capped cedar fence.  While speaking with Katie Milton at Memphis Fence I mentioned that I had found a fence that I really wanted, but the prices we had been quoted were ridiculous.  Katie asked me to send her a picture of the fence and said she would speak with the owner to see if it was something that Memphis Fence could do.  Later that same day, Katie reached out for the website for the Georgia company.  The next day I heard from Katie with a quote for the fence we wanted. The Memphis Fence quote was 20% higher than the price detailed on the Georgia company website.  Katie mentioned that she had reached out to the Georgia company and that the difference in the prices is that Memphis Fence uses Number 1 grade cedar and the Georgia company uses Number 3 grade cedar.  I had budgeted an amount that I was willing to spend on the fence and the quote from Memphis Fence was less than the amount I was willing to spend on the fence.

Memphis had a snow and ice storm which impacted the start date of the installation of the fence.  The folks at Memphis Fence did an excellent job communicating with us about when they would be able to install the fence.  We had been clear that we needed the fence completed by April 25th and Memphis Fence completed the install well before that date.  They did an excellent job installing the fence.  The team working on our fence was on time, courteous and neat.

I would recommend Memphis Fence to anyone who needs a fence.  We were not as fortunate with the initial roofer that we used.

We're very happy with the fence and the look, and they were very easy to deal with before, during, and after. There was a small issue with the paint, but Memphis Fence immediately returned to fix it to our liking. We'd recommend Memphis Fence and will use them again in the future!

Very Well, beyond call of duty

Professional and got things done quickly.

The install crew showed up on time with the right equipment to do the job. They did a job walk down with the adult present. No mistakes,
great gates and straight lines on both sides. Definately added value to my home. Our pets are sure to enjoy the freedom as they check out their new domain. Top notch company and crew. I got my money's worth. Very satisfied.

I have used this company before. This experience like the last was very positive.  The people both those providing the estimate and the crew doing the work were a pleasure to deal with.  I especially appreciated the work crew who listened to what I needed since from wood privacy fence is in close proximity to a chain link fence.

I was out of town but the person in the house said the entire project was completed in two days with no issues.

Quote process went well.  Their employee arrived on time and I did not have to stay around for him to measure.  He understood my needs.  Contract process went well.  This was a bit of a unique job and had to be staged with the move of a shed.  Memphis Fence arrived when they said they would and anticipated problems that would have delayed the project.  After installing a solid temporary fence (we have four dogs), they returned and completed the project in an excellent fashion.  We are very pleased with the final product.
