Fabulous Carpet Care

Run do not walk from "Fabulous" Carpet Care.  I purchased a Groupon for 3 rooms of carpet cleaning.  This is obviously a fly by night business operated out of a van with a cell phone.  Once I booked the appointment the crew was over 1.5 hours late.  That was after I called the morning of the appointment to confirm the time.  I also called at once they were 20 minutes late and was assured they were "on the way" and would "be right there".  At the 1 hour late mark I was then told they were 45 minutes away.  End result is the crew showed up more than an hour and a half late and after 3 phone calls (also you can't understand the person who answers the phone since they are clearly on a cell and multi tasking - sounded like they were in a store).  The crew showed up in sloppy jeans and t-shirts in a dirty van.  Absolutely no professionalism. Once they showed up they pulled out their "equipment" which appeared to be the sort of carpet cleaning equipment you can buy or rent from home depot.  They had a water hose they informed me would need to hooked up to my external hose spigot.  Due to recent plumbing problems my exterior hose spigots aren't working.  I pointed out that they never informed me they would need an external water source at the time I made my appointment.  They didn't seem to have any real alternatives or solutions.  It was at that point I informed them to just cancel the service.  Based on just the initial interactions with this company I knew I didn't trust them in my home or to do a quality job on my carpets.  I'm sure the ower / operator is a nice person who's just trying to start their own business but as a consumer I'm sick and tired of people going into business for themselves without having the first clue of the importance of quality service.
