Empire Today

In order to prepare our entire upstairs and upstairs closets for carpet installation, my husband and I worked for 4 days packing books, lamps, items from shelves, desktops, floor, etc.  We were told that the installers would move all of the furniture and would break down beds.
On the day of the installation, I was called by the installation manager who had been called by our installers and was told that the beds had to be broken down.  He said that the sales rep (who was very nice and professional) had misinformed me and that I must break the beds down myself.  I am a small woman over 60 years old (my husband was at work).  There were 3 young men present to install the carpet.  I had to break down a queen-size bed and a full-size bed by myself.  Thankfully, the young men agreed to break down our grandchildren's bunk beds. 
I was pleased with the final result.  The carpet looks very nice, and the installers did a good job.  In the end, they were helpful.
But...I will not use this company again.  The customer service from the installation manager was poor and unprofessional. 

The person who came to the house to sell me the service was great, but severely misquoted the price and ability of this company to perform the work.  Things started out ok as the guys came to put in the wood flooring.  They did a good job but upon leaving left all of the old carpet and garbage piled on the street out in front of the house.  The guy who was supposed to do the vinyl in the bathrooms just never showed up!  The guys also didn't put down transition pieces because the bathrooms were not done.
I called to complain and they said they would send someone by to get the pile of refuse out front and see about the vinyl (which was delivered with the wood but now just rolled up on my living room floor).
A day or two later another contracted installer (they don't have anyone who really works for them doing the actual work) came by and looked at the bathrooms and informed me that the sales person was wrong and that they couldn't do what I specifically made sure (asking the sales person repeatedly) they could before agreeing to the price.  By the way, their HUGE SALES are not any good as their HUGE SALE price is everyone else's regular price!  DO NOT FALL FOR THE COMMERCIAL!
I cannot really remember what happened when the guy told me he couldn't do what I was quoted a price for... AND that it would cost MORE than that just to do what they could.... but I told them it was a rip off what they were doing and could they please collect the uninstalled vinyl and leave my house and that I just wanted a refund of the undone part of the job.  
I was never a jerk or impolite with anyone at the company, and their people were never jerks or impolite with me.  But their price, value, and workmanship is not any good.  In my opinion its a material sales company that sublets the work with anyone who tells them they can do it.  
I called up Tim Hogan's flooring in Lakeland who came out with samples for the bathrooms and quoted me a MUCH better price to do it.  I was upset I didn't get multiple quotes as EMPIRE TODAY snowed me with their "nobody can beat our price" sales pitch.

It went very well. They were very punctual. They came in and the guy that they sent got it done all in one day.

I saw it on an advertisement on the TV. They were awesome. They took all the chairs out and other furniture first and took off the carpet and the flooring. They were thorough and cleaned up completely. It was great. The price was competitive.
