All went well during the initial work to identify and fix the water loss issues. A tear was found in the lining and repaired. A line pressure test was performed, too. This slowed the leak from 1/2 inch a day to 1/4 inch every two days.
Advantage was contacted three times about the continued water loss, but never returned calls. Side note, when they were on site, then showed up without notice (twice). Lastly, they were polite and responsive on the phone, but the technicians on site were surly and not friendly.
During the visit in April I asked to get an estimate on removing the diving board and replacing the sand in the filter; I left a couple messages after that and didn't hear from them. I would call back and get the excuse they were busy. At this point you would think that I would have given up on them and found another pool company but I felt like I had already invested my time in these guys and the grass isn't always greener on the other side so decided to persevere. In June 2014 I finally had them do the work, $391.22 which I thought was very reasonable. I've had them come back a few times since because the plumbing leaks.
In January 2015 I had them come and close the pool. The weather was very cold and storms were coming in but they came out and took care of me which I am grateful for because that meant I didn't have to continually run my filter during the below freezing days!
Overall, we had a rocky start but communication has improved and I will continue to call them for all my pool needs :)
I called another company I found on Angie's List. They cleared up the water in 2 days and addressed other issues with the pump that were keeping the pool from being usable.
Part of the service agreement was to wash the filters in the pump ; obviously this was never done because they would have found the problem.
When I called to tell them we would not be using their service any longer, I spoke with Wally (he's supposed to be the supervisor over the pool techs), he ask if there was a problem. I had spoken to Cindy several times (I had to continually call, no one was returning my calls) and explained all the issues we were having and apparently she never passed along the information.
