Tia Cooper Ridout

Tia was the agent for my parents when they bought their first home in 1998 when I was still a teenager. At that time she treated my parents very fairly and he was happy with the service he was provided. In 2013 when I was ready to finally purchase a home I was happy to see that she was still an active realtor. Tia helped me to negotiate a much better than asking price, and was available to answer my questions in a timely manner. I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking an agent.

We signed with Ms. Ridout because we were impressed when she sold our neighbors home in one month.   We contracted with her for six months as she indicated that was standard in a down housing market. She did seem a bit startled when I asked her what set her apart from all the other realtors in the area. I thought that was a reasonable question. She was professional and punctual and all went well on the sign up/start up process. 
Thereafter, however, it seemed to us that the MLS listing was pretty much the only thing she was to do for us.  We have a large log home and we knew it would take special marketing to sell. I contacted Tia with many ideas for sparking interest in our home and every one was met with a no for one reason or the other.  I do not know this for a fact but I suspected they were rejected because it would have cut into her hefty commission.
After two months with no calls and no shows, she finally agreed to at least have a realtor walk through. Honestly, I think this was just to appease me and would not have happened if I hadn't been so insistant on her doing somehting more than just listing on MLS (to be fair, I think we were in the local paper once or twice but I don't recall exactly.)  She indicated that the home showed well and the realtors really liked the place but still no activity came.
The only time Tia contacted me (without me contacting her first) was to let me know that she would be on vacation.
We terminated the contract after three months.

Tie was extremely professional and patient with us as we moved from Memphis to Maryville. She answered all of our questions every step of the way. She tirelessly took us to many homes in the area and even though we could be a little picky she never lost her patience or her enthusiasm. when we we did find or wonderful home in the perfect neighborhood she was there every step of the way, even when the sale of our home in Memphis was holding everything up she never gave up on us. I have dealt with a few real estate agents over the years both in Memphis and Maryville and Tia is by far the best i have ever dealt with. A class act and a true professional, Thanks
