Buying a house while living out of the area can be difficult, so I went with companies I was familiar with and thought well of, Remax and Coldwell Banker. While the female broker at Remax (there are two) only offered to send us a and quot;Welcome to Maryville packetand quot; via snail mail, our first contact with Coldwell Banker's broker, Lesia Carter went much better. She answered many questions on the phone and told me the name/number of the agent she was assigning us to. As promised, the agent called me back quickly and got a lot of information about us right then. Unfortunately, she had to be out of town for a major family event during the week in May, 2013 when we could come to Maryville, so she lined us up with Amy King to fill in until her return.
Amy turned out to be amazing, quickly grasping what we liked and disliked, and answering our questions very honestly, even when the answers weren't what we wanted to hear. When she said she would do something, she always did it well within the time frame promised. She spent a lot of time with us during that first trip, showing us several houses while homing in on what we wanted. We were so impressed that we asked her broker to allow her to continue on as our agent. She maintained contact well, sending us listings to look at until our next trip there.
On our second trip in August, she showed us several new listings that might work. She also had appropriate properties to show my husband's brother, as we hope he will come live in Maryville when he retires. This was important, since we didn't want to move to a place he won't consider. Again, she was scrupulously honest about things like the heat in August, whether it was the desired answer or not.
In late September, I previewed houses with her for two days before my husband joined us, including one that she had flagged for us as one she thought we'd really like. I did. David arrived, and he did, too. She handled the offer, counter offers and acceptance processes without trying to drive the price higher. Instead she helped us find a reasonable counter-offer amount we were satisfied with. The inspectors and loan services she suggested were excellent. Any time she didn't know something, she found out before answering. She was intelligent, personable, knowledgeable, efficient, punctual and, of course honest.
All the staff I met at this office maintained similar high standards, and we are very glad to have dealt with this Coldwell Banker office.

A family member in the real estate business referred me to
Leisa initially. They had already had many positive experiences with her. She was
very professional and extremely motivated in selling our house. Her
communications to me about every aspect of the listing, contracting and sale
was great. We had a contract on my house within 4 days of listing it and the
sale was closed at the price I wanted in a month. We encountered some
unexpected issues during the sale process and she was pivotal in resolving them
quickly and keeping the process on schedule. I have honestly never had such a
positive experience with any real estate agent in buying or selling personal or
commercial property in my over 30 years in business. If you are considering
buying or selling any property in her area you will not be able to find a
better agent.

We looked at lot of homes in the maryville city market. It took some time to find what we were looking for. The first house we wrote a contract on the sellers refused to do any repairs. We were very disappointed that we had to walk away. Leisa was right there helping us move on, finding more houses for us to see. She answered all our questions and quite frankly helped keep us focused during what can be a Very stressful process. She pointed out pros and cons of the houses, some of which I may have overlooked because of nice face lifts that were done. It was a pleasure to be able to work with her. I might also point out that I was referred to her by my assistants daughter who has used Leisa twice to by and sell homes in this area. It is so important to have someone knowledgeable in the maryville city market to show you homes, as this is a desire able area and can move quickly because of such a desire alb school system.
