"Thank you for such a great review. It was our pleasure!"
"Thank you for a wonderful comment. It is always our goal to give the best customer service we can."
Joe was willing to fix it for us rather than re-tile the whole room. His price was much better than the first tile setter willing to just do the repair. While it was comparable to another estimate I got for just the repair, Joe was more professional and better qualified. One reason I decided to use him was that he is certified in the Schlueter Kerdi system, which is what I wanted to use for the new shower floor. He did have some challenges in dealing with the existing walls and a limited amount of replacement tiles, but he did a beautiful job. He matched the existing grout perfectly in color, but used a grout that would be resistant to mold and mildew. He recommended a solid top piece on the curb to avoid grout lines with water standing in them. (We had tile and grout before, which did collect dirt and mold rapidly.) The curb top has to slope very slightly into the shower to use a frameless door and to prevent water standing on it--he did it perfectly the first time. No corrections or issues, which I gather are common.
He's very busy and can sometimes be hard to get in touch with as a result. We did have to schedule out about 3 weeks, I think. However, I would not hesitate to recommend him. I would rather have to wait for three weeks and have it done right! I've moved into two houses where the master shower tile failed after several years (for different reasons), and I really researched carefully before interviewing tile setters. I feel confident in saying that Joe knows what he is doing and is an excellent tile setter.
He called me back immediatley, showed up when he said he would show up. It took him 2 days to complete the job, which is also what he said it would take. He was very informative on his knowledge of tiles, travertines and other materials. The pros and cons of the stones, which was very helpful. He was also instrumental in adding a little flare to the design I had in my head. It's easy to see he has done this for years and knows his business! He did a beautiful job and was very clean about it, we are very pleased. We will use him for any other tile projects, we highly rec. Joe! .
