work went great, they were professional from beginning to end. second time we used them and will continue to use them for any additional jobs.

The lady who helped me design the kitchen, Debbie Burress, was very knowledgeable, thorough and personable! Her and I worked together really well.

It was very good. They were easy to work with. It has been two and a half years since the work was done. All of the flooring has stayed in place very well. They did a beautiful job with the wood floor. They were cost effective. There were many different choices to choose from. They were accommodating and very thorough. We got what we paid for.

The sales staff is very knowledgeable.  Installation was on the date promised.   Service was outstanding, product came in on time, and the installers did an exceptional job.

We had a very good experience with Gillenwater. They allowed us to bring full boxes of hardwood home to lay out so we could make a better decision on which hardwood to purchase. I would have chosen a different wood if I had been deciding from a small sample, and I don't think I would have been nearly as happy with it. I, and my family, are very happy with our wood. Everyone we worked with did an excellent job and were very professional. I would definitely use them again for flooring. Very nice people and great service and quality workmanship.

It was quite expensive. Our experience with them was okay but kind of frustrating. They did not return calls when they said they would. I would tell other Angie's List customers to make sure that all your i's are dotted, and t's are crossed. If you are getting flooring make sure that they check at the time of the estimate to make sure that the floors would be even. We are very happy with the quality so far.

The salesman was very friendly, knoweledgeable and helpful in selecting the vinyl flooring. The installer was very friendly and helpful. While friendly, the company, overall, lacks the ability to communicate with its customers and with its employees. The salesman came out and conducted a review of what needed to be done and said he would have us an estimate in a day. Over a week later I had to call and get the estimate. The salesman apologized, saying he was very busy. The installation supervisor called and we set a date and time for his crew to come out. The morning of the installation the crew called and asked if they were supposed to come that day. How could they not know that? At the end of the day the installer did not have the right and quot;transition pieceand quot; for the door. He said someone would call within the next two days to set up a time to come out and finish. Again, over a week later I had to call to check. The original salesperson was not available the day I called and a second person said they would check it out and and quot;get right back with me.and quot; That never happened. I finally called and spoke with one of the owners and set a date and time for the finish work. The owner said he would take care of it and have the installation supervisor call me. Never got that call. The morning the finish work was to be done I had to call the supervisor and find out when the workman would arrive. The supervisor was not aware that a time had been set for them to be there (i.e., no communication from the owner).

We were very pleased with this family business's services. We will be using them again for future needs. Reliable, reputable and professional in every way.

While the business location provided appropriate information it took the carpet repairman several days to call back to make an appt. to come to our house. The work done, however, was excellent and the problems with the carpet were solved.

Overall and excellent job and would highly recommend them!

The sales process went smoothly. The installer did an excellent job but had some outside difficulties that caused a delay in completing the installation on time. We were very pleased with the process and would definitely use Gillenwater Flooring again.

Superbly!!!

Sales people were good to work with; Flooring came in a week later than expected which pushed the job back about 10 days. We had the flooring delivered several days before installation to acclimate. Crew showed up on time. Of the 18 boxes, observed the first 5 installed (they worked out of 2-3 boxes at a time). Saw no issues with what they were doing or with the condition of the product. Left and returned about 45 minutes later and there was a piece almost in the center of the floor with an oil spot about 3 inches from the end of a piece. At this point they were about 8-10 boards beyond this board so it was too late to recover. They called it a water spot - still looks like oil under the pre-finish. So remained and inspected balance of flooring installation to assure no other poor pieces were installed. Another issue was at one wall area they cut a 3" pce to finish the row - the instructions with box are that no pce should be that small. Crew took comments about no more small pces and no more black spots OK. Lastly, he transition piece was installed up to the wall - this was an issue because we had removed the baseboard during demo. Crew knew baseboard would be going back down. This posed problem with baseboard re-install later because transition pce had to be removed and cut to allow install of baseboard. While we would consider Gillenwater again, lesson learned is stay with crew during entire install, inform crew of expectations before they start and have baseboard pce avail so transition piece only has to be installed once.

They showed up on time and did great with the clean up. They did a very good job, were very prompt and respectful. They were also very time efficient and I felt they cared about our home. I was very happy with the carpet they laid.
