not well ,we had to return projector it was not right for the size of the room.
Response from Don Myers Video Services
"True, I didn't have appropriate step ladder to reach 12' ceiling, but Mr [Member Name Removed] did. If I'd known that would be an issue for him I would have turned the job down. I installed the projector he ordered and when I was unable to fill his screen with the adjustments informed him he would need to return the projector for one that could utilize his room's throw distance, or it could be remounted at a different place on the ceiling. He chose to return it and I uninstalled it and helped repack it. I felt bad for him and charged less than the time I put in."

Don did a great job. He's knowledgeable and courteous. He mounted our TV over a brick fireplace which is no easy job. The results were outstanding.

We feel so fortunate to have located Don for our TV antenna installation. We "cut the cord" about a year ago and had been struggling with a couple of indoor antennas that gave us unreliable connections. We knew the next step was an outdoor antenna. Don selected the best antenna for our location and chose the optimum location on the roof. He took his time to investigate all of the existing cables in the very hot attic and in the very cobwebby crawl space, making sure to not interfere with our internet or phone connections. We couldn't be happier with our new antenna. Reception is wonderful and we have more channels than we had previously. Don arrived on time and was extremely throug. We highly recommend this experienced and professional antenna installer.

Prior to deciding to hire Don, I had several questions for him regarding logistics. He promptly and thoroughly answered all of my questions and was able to schedule me in a very timely manner. On the day of installation, he showed up promptly at the time he promised. He was very friendly and efficient and went out of his way to ensure that my new antenna's coaxial wiring would not interfere with my internet provider's wiring. He installed a sleek exterior antenna in a discreet location, and best of all, it pulled in 38 channels! I previously had a Mohu Leaf antenna that only had intermittent success. Now, I have clear signals throughout the house. I would strongly recommend his services to anyone who is committed to cutting the cord!

Don did a great job. He was very responsive, getting to us in a just a few days after the initial call. He was very professional and did a great job installing our new 60 inch TV above the fireplace in our family room. I highly recommend Don for this kind of installation.

I contacted Don through Angie's list. He was very responsive. After telling him what we wanted, he made an appointment for the for a few days after the new TV was due to arrive. After that we had several email communications regarding the wiring and what he would need to install the TV and move the old TV.
Don showed up on time and installed the first TV, We were able to help him hold it up and attach wires from wall into the back. With his advice, we decided to buy a ROKU at Target and use it with the second TV rather than paying for DirecTV Mini Genie and DirecTV installation charges as well as monthly charges. Don is very knowledgeable about digital alternatives.
The two installations were held up a few times by the need for us to buy the ROKU and a couple of other items, but I doubt that Don charged us for the additional time. Total labor was only $215 for the new TV. The tilt wall mount he supplied was $55 and the there was a $20 charge for a cable and installing the old TV.
The entire job, including a few minutes for us to feed Don a sandwich for lunch, took 5.5 hours. Last night we watched our new TV and everything worked perfectly. This morning we tried out the old TV connected to ROKU and it's great! Don may have paved the way to our going all digital someday in the near future -- and we'll have him help us with it if we do.
I can't recommend Don too highly. We will be telling all of our friends about him!

He arrived a bit later than expected (weather), but got right to work and did everything we had discussed. I had to run out for a longer HDMI cable as the ones I had were too short - that was my bad as I wanted to use my existing ones. His part was done well and as expected. I'm quite happy and would use him again.

Don returned our call the same day we made it, made an appointment at a time good for us, and showed up on time.
He arrived on time, went straight to work, and quietly set up the soundbar. He then explained its operation to us, patiently answered our questions, and was very pleasant to deal with.
No complaints from us. And $60 to insure proper set up and operation of a $500 electronics product was worth it to us.

Don was fantastic. He came out to install my TV the day after I called. He said he'd be there at 9:30 AM. He was running a little late so he phoned me before 9:30 to tell me he would be there in 20 minutes. Once he arrived he assessed the situation, got his tools and went to it. He is very meticulous in his work as he delivered a very clean, professional product. He programmed my remote and made sure everything was working properly. It was one of the best examples of customer service since I moved to Knoxville 14 years ago.

All went well. I'm now receiving the 3 local network broadcasters, 2 Fox stations, 3 PBS stations, 4 independent stations. Very pleased. No more cable bill.

on both locations, he installed 2 sets of mounting hardware, and matching antennas. He did his homework to see what antenna would fit each location..
He utilized a meter to determine the best signal strength for the most channels.
Very satisfied with his work

On the plus side, Don is a very pleasant person at a personal level, arrives on time, is serious and composed, and appears to have a pretty solid knowledge base. He installed a new Winegard digital TV antenna on our deck, using an existing mast and bracket. When the signal didn't pull in all the stations we hoped for, he suggested that installing a preamplifier might help. We agreed to do so, and with full understanding that there would be an additional labor charge. In our experience, Don is very honest and upfront about charges.
When the work was complete, I found a few things that caused mild heartburn- a pile of scrap cable, connectors and plastic garbage left on the deck where the antenna was installed. Downstairs, where the coax runs into the service closet, more debris, plus, Don had left the cover off the service panel. It wasn't the end of the world, but a little sloppy. Also, I had asked Don to replace a length of white coax used outside for aesthetic reasons, which he did, using black coax I provided. Unfortunately, he turned around and used the same white coax to make "jumpers," (short lengths of cable running from wall to television and so forth) and used them in the downstairs den and in the master bedroom (this, despite the fact that if Don didn't want to use his own coax, I had plenty more of my own), so I still get to see the white coax I specifically asked to have removed!
Last straw- six months after installation, the antenna/preamp appeared to quit working. We went from 14+ channels to 2. I called Don and it was abundantly clear- he saw this as my problem. He felt the 25 minute drive from Maryville to Powell was too much too ask for, and he clearly stated he would not stand behind the preamp. We finally agreed that he would mail me the receipt and I could attempt to return it, despite the fact that the work was only six months old.
I was finally able to run down the problem myself and get it repaired, but it was certainly without any help from Don. And to add insult to injury, I never did get the receipt he promised to mail me.
As I said at the outset, Don is a pleasant somebody, we talked pets, football and the like when he first arrived, and I understand antennas are not a mainstay of his business. But standing behind his work needs to be, and in our experience, he simply isn't willing to do so. Caveat emptor!
UPDATE: After this review was posted, Don followed up by phone and offered to continue to work with me to resolve any outstanding issues. By this time I had corrected everything, but I did want to note that he followed up and I appreciate his efforts in that regard. I do credit him with the best of intentions, and I do believe he attempted to mail the pre-amp invoice to me. Unfortunately, based on his phone message, he has me down for a Clinton address, and I live in Powell. Don is very decent fellow, I know of no reason Angie's Listers shouldn't do business with him, just make sure everyone has a clear understanding on each other's expectations.

Response from Don Myers Video Services
"I admit that I made some mistakes with . One was getting so engrossed in conversation that I forgot to deal with my little pile of coax debris. I had installed my best omnidirectional antenna and still wasn't getting all the channels he wanted so I suggested getting a preamp and he said ok. I drove to Shields, purchased it and after installing it was able to pull in 29 channels. He was happy. Six months later he called saying he'd lost all but a couple channels. It sounded like a preamp problem. Here I made another mistake. I asked him if he could take care of it and he agreed if I sent him the receipt. My reasoning was 1.) the antenna and preamp were attached to the rear deck and easily accessible....no ladder necessary and 2.) it takes 45 minutes each way...an hour and a half roundtrip..between Maryville and Clinton....not 25 minutes. That would require doing 75-80 on Alcoa Highway and that's just not going to happen. I put the receipt in the mail the next day, March 3. I also sent an email to through Angies letting him know I'd sent it and saying please let me know if there are any problems. My intention all along was to come out if couldn't take care of it himself. On April 1 the letter came back to my mail box with a postal sticker saying it was "undeliverable" and in pencil "wrong address". This is really curious because I sent it to the same address I went to for the work. The same address he used in his review. I've tried to paste a picture of the letter showing the postmark into this space, but it won't allow me to do that. I'd be happy to email the picture to anyone who requests it. When the letter came back I immediately called him to let him know, but he said he was in a bad reception area and would call back. He never did. I tried to reach him a couple more times and left messages. A couple days later Angies called to tell me I should check my reviews and that's when I understood why he didn't want to talk to me. I feel bad that had a negative experience and one of the things I'm taking from this is that because I don't charge for follow ups and my rates are so low I won't take on any more work that is that far away."

Don installed a new LED television in our living room. He did an excellent job and was able to work around unforeseen problems to get the job done. He was very professional and he insisted on doing the job right. My wife and I were very pleased with the quality of the work. He ran the power and HDMI cords behind the wall. The TV and sound bar are above the fireplace. He also installed the bracket for the TV, and he set up the blu ray player, and all the remotes. Excellent job!

Don did an amazing job. He is obviously very knowledgable and more importantly - really seems to care about his work and his customers. The job went smoothly and Don did everything we talked about and then some.
I would highly recommend him for any kind of electronics installation or set up.
