UNDER THE CIRCUMSTANCES, I COULD NOT HAVE ASKED FOR A BETTER EXPERIENCE WITH A VET. DR. MARK WAS VERY COMPASSIONATE AND HE REALLY CARRIED ABOUT BOTH ME AND "CASH".

I went to Chilhowee Vet Clinic to try and get some answers to some irritation on my dogs ears, neck and feet. My vet of five years essentially charged me $80 for a visit the week prior and sent me home telling me it was normal and nothing they could do.
I decided to get a second opinion and went to Chilhowee Vet. and was impressed from the moment I walked in the door.  The facilities aren't fancy and they don't have to be.  No, they don't work on horses, pigs or cows but I don't have any of those animals anyway.  The people are competent, attentive and had great attitudes.  They took a lot of time with us and listened to our concerns.  They then recommended some testing at home by removing certain items one by one that may cause an allergic reaction with our dog.  They immediately started some medicine to help as well.  Within 2 weeks everything was cleared up and it hasn't returned.  Our dog is the happiest in years with no itching ears, toes, or hot spots on her neck that would consume her with constant scratching. We have one happy pooch and we can thank Chilhowee for that.
I cannot say enough about the group at Chilhowee and especially Walt West.  My only disappointment is that I didn't make the change to Chilhowee sooner.  Highly recommended.

My poor little guy had been having diarrhea for a few days. I called at 8am on a Saturday and they were triple booked but told me since it was somewhat of an emergency to bring him in towards the end of the clinic hours (ending at 12:30pm) and they would squeeze him in. We are new to the area so I didn't know who to call or who to go to so I chose and it all worked out. They checked his stool sample I brought in and caught some pee while he was doing his thing outside. They also examined him. Everything looked good but to be safe they put him on 5 days of antibiotics to cover anything that didn't show up and also to help the inflammation of the bowels. Most likely it is just the stress of the move. The total time there was about an hour maybe (didn't really pay attention to the time). I have another dog that is also having loose stools and they were ok with giving him the antibiotic also without seeing him. We saw Elaine Klesius and she was great with him. The staff was all very nice also. We will be going back for our regular check ups in Oct/Nov time frame.

I like the veterinarians very much. The staff is kind. The office is clean. They are good with my pets. Their prices are a little high.

I was greeted respectively and didn't have to wait long. They are very informative, thorough and polite and the price was fair.

They are wonderful. They have good prices for office visits. The quality of work is excellent; they are great. The vets call you at home and make sure how everything is going. You can leave a voice mail for the vet for non-urgent matters and they will call you back the same day to go over things with you. If you have an appointment you are going to be seen within several minutes of your appointment time. You can even walk in with a sick animal and they will work you in as soon as possible, I wouldn't use anybody else.

I have never have an issue when I use this vet. I always see Dr. Diane Laviola. I have seen other Dr's in the practice but like Dr. D the best. I prefer Saturday appointments. It is always busy, but I don't wait long and Dr. L always takes all the time you need. She is very understanding and loving of the animals.

Excellent experience from the first telephone call through the exam to making my payment before I left. This is my first dog and the vet took time during and after the exam to talk to me about my concerns, make suggestions, give advice, answer questions, etc. His assistant was really good with making me and the dog comfortable for the weigh-in, exam, and rabies shot. Cat was boarding for weekend, but had blood work done as well. They continued his care on Monday to discern problem. Very caring place from the front desk to the lab assistants to the vets, they are great. Wish my doctor would return calls like these folks do.

There are several vets there. We try to go to the same one. They are very knowledgeable and explains everything. They call afterwards to check up on our pets.

We use them as our regular vet so that is why we bring our dog there. I know that if anything unexpected were to happen that the doctor that normally takes care of him would know his background and would know what to do. The place is exceptionally clean and everyone is always smiling which makes you feel welcome.

I really like the way they run there business. They are all friendly and love animals and it shows by the way they interact with them. I have used them for quite awhile and will continue to use them as long as they do a good job.
