BLOUNT LAWN & GARDEN

When I finally got my 1 year old riding mower back 2 1/2 weeks later, it did run. However, in the middle of the first mowing after getting it back, the left deck mount came loose and I scalped my lawn for about 50 feet before realizing it. Upon inspection, I noticed that the cotter pin that holds the left part of the cutting deck up was missing. It was obviously not put back on properly. Then a few weeks later, the body fell off the mower! Turns out, only 2 of the 6 bolts that holds the body to the frame were present. In my opinion, they do sloppy work, they take way too long to do it, and the charge for what they do is absolutely outrageous. My total bill was about $200 for a TUNE UP. I paid it just to get my mower back, but it was ridiculous. I was considering buying a new mower from them before this episode. Now, there's no way I'll even go into the place ever again. BTW, I later went to Richie Tractor for a chain saw and while there lamented my lost cotter pin. They gave me a replacement cotter pin for my deck for FREE. Granted, this is not an expensive part, but they didn't have to help me out like that. I'm doing my purchase and repair work at Richie Tractor from now on!
