My parents had used Velasquez Roofing a few years ago and were very happy with the price, quality, and service. I called José (the owner) for a quote but he was out of town that week (it was Spring Break, after all). He asked me to text him my address and he would call me the following Monday. We spoke by phone Monday morning and set an appointment for 2:00 p.m. I was extremely impressed that José was 15 minutes early for our meeting. We discussed what was needed and a couple of options about how to proceed. He measured and quoted both a total roof replacement and just putting a new roof over the existing. We have a very steep, and on one side, extremely high roof. We negotiated a price for the total replacement. It was exactly what I had budgeted for. José told me his crew would start work the next morning and finish in one day. We just needed to pick out the shingle from the book of samples he provided and text him our request. As promised, he and his crew were there the next morning. Work progressed very quickly. He texted progress photos to my phone throughout the day. Unfortunately, they ran out of materials at the end of the day after the supplier had closed. Literally, they were 5' short. José assured me they would get right on it the next morning to finish. In reality, it was José who came the next morning and personally finished the job. We did the final walk around together. I can't say enough good things about the owner, his crew, the quality and timeliness of their work, and the cheerful communication between us during the whole process. We had other companies give us quotes and exert their high pressure sales tactics for this, that, and the other. You will not have to endure that from Velasquez Roofing. It is clear to me that the owner lives for word of mouth recommendations. He knows that doing a good job for you will lead to future work for him. Frankly, we are thrilled with our new roof and our interaction with this company.
