-Tech showed up late which was frustrating since I came home a few hours early from work to meet the time window, by the time they showed up I would have been home anyway.
-I purchased a living social deal for 5 rooms plus hallway for $79, when you book they tell you that the technician will advise on any other "services" that you may need (at an additional price) and that they are optional. The sales pitch was not necessarily unusual for this industry, except that they make it sound as though if you don't pay for the "sanitizer" that your carpets will then mildew, and that if you don't pay for the deep clean then your stained areas will likely not get clean, just "steamed". When a suggestion such as this is made, you really don't feel like refusing, because then you have that thought in your head that they really aren't going to put forth as much of an effort to get the carpets cleaned and (fairly) dried since you didn't upgrade.
-Technician was not professional looking at all, sloppy clothes, unmarked van, the equipment was a commercial freestanding unit which he placed on my porch, used my bathtub to fill, and emptied the dirty water in my driveway.
-Technician forgot a room of the house, and when I called just moments after leaving was asked why I didn't tell him before he left and told that he "was already on the highway" and couldn't turn around. This resulted in another block of scheduling my time to get the job completed.
-Overall the carpets were fairly clean, but very, very wet upon completion. Don't expect your furniture to be put on foam blocks or moved at all... I also didn't feel that he put forth any extra effort or pretreatment on the stain areas.
If this company wants to compete with the big guys (think yellow truck) they need to step it up, for the price I paid after all the so-called upgrades, I could have had much better service and work done from a competitor.
I purchased a deal on Living Social for 5 room cleaned + hall for $89. I thought this was a good price so I purchased the deal. When I called to book the service I was informed there was a $10 trip charge to come to my house (which was NOT disclosed on the coupon) and in order to get the deal I had to pay the $10 to cover the price of gas, that should have been the warning sign. Both men showed up when they said (they actually called ahead of time - which was nice). One was indeed the lead guy and had somewhat of an abrasive attitude but not overly pushy. I showed them what I wanted cleaned and asked for a price to clean a couple of area rugs as well. When all was said and done, my $89 deal was going to cost me an additional $475!!! What????
They said they had to do a deep cleaning (my carpet was NOT that dirty) and sanitize the carpet,oh, and apply a deodorizer and of course they would have to hand clean the rugs. When I asked the difference between what I ordered and a deep cleaner...well long story short, a deep cleaner, they spray a chemical to bring out the dirt and steam it out, vs. just a steam clean (clean?). The carpet was EXTREMELY wet when they left. I have had my carpets cleaned before but it has NEVER been this wet. I decided to go with the deep cleaning but forgo everything else. I have a big black dog, and everyone knows with a black dog on very light carpet, the oil on the dog will turn the carpet dark so I wanted the deep clean to remove the oil, which grated it looks better now but did NOT remove all the dark color from the carpet. While I am still waiting for my carpet to dry, one thing is certain, I will NOT use this company again.
