Perfect. There was only one way for the tree to fall without causing property damage and they nailed it. There isn't anything left of the stump (I mowed right over it the next time I cut the grass).

It was great.  Ken and his crew showed up early in the morning to get started and finished in 1 day.  He is very responsive when you call him and is great to work with.  I would call him back anytime to do more work for us.

He called in advance to let us know when he would be there.  They came and started working on the trees, and the weather got bad around noon stopped the work.  We had some flooding issues up here, and Ken called that evening to ask if it was okay if he could leave his chipper in our yard until the ground dried out enough for his truck to drive on it.  He kept in touch and let us know when he'd be back, and came when he said he would.  All in all, I think it took him about 3 days to do the work. Nice, nice crew he had working for him. I asked him to do a little more than I had originally requested and he was happy to do it. 

Very well.  I was doing a major landscaping re-do along the front of the house and had trouble finding a service that could do the job on short notice, others were booked for 2 months out.  Ken's committed doing the job within a few days as long as I was flexible with the time.  Within a few days, he called and was ready to be on site within an hour.   While this was a relatively straight forward job for them, they were willing to fit me in as soon as they had a chance.  The price wasn't particularly a bargain, but in my experience, reasonable for the work, especially given the quick turnaround.

Excellent service. If you need tree service - call Ken. He came out the same day I contacted him to provide an estimate. Ken communicated as to his start day / time and showed up as scheduled with all the crew and equipment needed to do the job. He carefully removed the tree tops which were over hanging the house and then fell the rest of the tree. The crew was professional, cleanup up every bit of wood and leaves. Ken even paid for a spread some top soil in a rut that his truck made in the yard due to the recent rains - service went well above and beyond what we were expecting. Call Ken if you want a fair price and an above quality job!

This was the second project that Ken's Tree Service has done for me.  Two years ago, he topped 3-60'+ trees that were near the back of the house.  This project was to remove one of the trees that died.  Since this tree was close to the house and on a steep slope, Ken wasn't able to fell the tree and cut it into logs.  As a result, he had to "disassemble" the tree from the top and lower the 6-8' sections to the ground.  
Between the tree and the back of the house, there is a steep 30' slope that ends in a heavily landscaped strip bounded by a 4' rock wall.  As a result, Ken and his staff (I use "staff" instead of crew, to highlight their collective professionalism) had to cut the logs into 1.5-2' sections and lower each section down the hill, roll it across the landscaped area and then drop them onto the yard.  Ken's team was on time, highly professional, pleasant, and hard-working.  After watching Ken climb to the top of the tree, rope and cut sections, and lower them to the ground, I felt their $400 fee more than reasonable considering their risk and competence.

For comparative purposes, I'll describe what happened to a neighbor who didn't use Ken.  The neighbor had a local "tree service" cut down an ice storm damaged tree.  It was perhaps 50' tall and about 3.5' at the base.  This tree was also on a slope (which sloped toward my property).  The lads came out, fell the tree, and cut it into sections.  Their fee was about $400 as well (their fee didn't include clean-up).  Oh, yes, when they felled the tree, it landed parallel to the slope, which is not good.  During a rainstorm following their work, the bottom section of the tree--a log approximately 8' long and 3.5' in diameter--broke loose, rolled down the hill, crushed a small rock garden by my driveway, and stopped about 2' short of my garage door.

He was courteous and prompt.  I have had other trees removed and although they did well, Ken's team has set a new bar.  They have the right equipment to do the job quickly and correctly.

It went excellent.  The price was reasonable.  They were very courteous and nice.  They called ahead to set up the time for the service and arrived on time.

They arrived promptly and did an excellent job. Everything was left very neat. They raked up small pieces in the yard and blew off the driveway and sidewalk. There were stumps left that they ground out to remove them totally. It looks like there was never a tree there in the first place. I requested some firewood be left, and they stacked it up neatly for me. They worked extremely hard and did a large job in less time than I thought it could possibly be done. They were very professional in all aspects of the job. I would recommend them whole heartedly!

They showed at 12:00 PM as they said they would. When they left except far some sawdust and empty spot you could not tell they were here. Plus I had clean gutters they went above and beyond.

Ken & his crew showed up on time, went right to work. Ken trimmed and his crew worked cleaning up even our leaves. Excellent work, explained why he like he did.

After finding out from the power company the extensive scope of tree trimming and removal required to run power onto my property, I called Ken on a Friday afternoon for help.  Although I was a stranger to him, he came out in an hour's time and provided a very fair proposal for the work that I accepted.  I was surprised that he and his crew jumped right on the job and worked around rain storms for the next 2-3 days to get it done as quickly as possible.  Throughout the job, everyone was very professional and safe.  Their cleanup after the job was outstanding, leaving the property in better shape than when they arrived.  Finally, I will say that I asked for some add-on work toward the end of the job which was cheerfully done and again for a fair price.  I would recommend Ken's Tree Service to anyone based on my experience.

Ken is a very responsible and congenial businessman and has the proper equipment to do the job right. Plus he has a good knowledge of trees and how much and when to trim them. Using a boom truck allowed his guys to neatly trim two very tall tress without the usual risk of having guys up top using only ropes when adjacent our house. We had some rutting on the lawn as the ground was soft--I wasn't happy about that, but it was really unavoidable given how moist the ground was. These trucks are pretty heavy. 
It took his guys 6 hours to do all the work and they were super at cleaning up every twig and branch after cutting. After having the frustration of a few local yocals who wouldn't return calls, or just bid and not come back, Ken was a refreshing change. He's not the cheapest, but he's not overpriced either. I think it's best to have a good amount of work for him since he has to move three vehicles on site for a job which is a bit of cost for him.
I'll definitely use him again. He even offered to refund me some of the money for the ruts his trucks caused, and for the use of my tractor to move a few trees (to avoid making ruts in the pasture). Since I had already agreed to let him use the tractor should conditions be too wet, I elected to pay him the amount we agreed upon. I joked I'll "get him back" on the next visit. Good man, good company.

Ken's Tree Service in Lynnville was recommended to us by a friend in late summer of 2012. A storm had done some considerable damage to 2 huge trees in our back yard sending one large limb through the roof of our storage building like a missile. We called Ken and he came right out and gave us a very reasonable estimate to remove the 2 trees. We watched in amazement as he and his crew began to little by little take down those huge trees. We were so impressed that we videoed most of the work. Our 2 year old grandson stood on the deck with us and was greatly entertained by the "Tree Man" as he called Mr. Ken. Our grandson is now 3 and he still asks to watch the "Tree Man" videos on my ipad. We have hired contractors before who did a descent job but left a mess.....not so with Mr. Ken. He did a great job and we could not have been happier with his work and clean up. He is a true professional.
We also had another location in bad need of tree removal of 5 large trees and of course we called Mr. Ken. We would not trust it to anyone else. He did another great job and we were well pleased as before. It says a lot when you rehire someone. If I was not happy with a previous job I sure would not hire the same person to do an even bigger job. Mr. Ken is honest and very professional and he does exactly what he says he will do. We would highly recommend Ken's Tree Service for all your tree service needs. The "Tree Man" will do you right.

I had a large job at 2 different locations that needed a tree removal service, some was storm damage and some just needed to go....7 HUGE trees in all.  A friend recommended Ken's Tree Service.  I had Mr Ken come out and give me an estimate.  I prayed and felt he was the man for the job.  I was 200% satisified with the professionalism and quality of work of this company.  It was truly amazing to watch Mr. Ken take down those huge trees and not one limb or leaf hit my house.  He was very reasonable in his prices for such dangerous work.  I even videoed him working for my 2 yr old grandson who was really impressed to watch "the tree man" in the "big bucket truck".  He has to watch the videos over and over...Mr Ken certainly has a fan in him.  Now that I have found him he will be on speed dial for "all things trees"  I highly recommend Ken's Tree Service.  ps...I am not a family member of his nor had a ever met him before he came to give me an estimate :)

We asked for quotes from 4 different tree services for this job, but only two bothered to return our calls. The first wanted twice the money, and told us we'd have to wait 3-4 weeks before they could get to us. Ken called us back promptly, came out the next day and gave us an estimate, and had the trees removed the following Monday. They were very careful not to damage the yard or our home. Very satisfied, would definitely use them again! FYI - Our neighbor was so impressed with them that she had Ken remove a very large tree in her yard!
