We have had Home Options do several major renovations to our home. Called to replace an under the cabinet light. Came the very next day. Called and said they could come before scheduled. Kevin was very professional and did a great job!

Light repairs were done successfully in a timely manner.
The new water heater hadn’t been doing the job in our crawl space for over a year and we figured it was too cold there without a jacket (condensation collected under the jacket of the old tank and rusted it through). But the tank was right behind the crawl space door into our heated basement shop, so we decided to move the tank into the heated area and hired Home Options to do the job. When the water heater was moved, Home Options’ installer discovered the original installation (done by the plumbing contractor of a major Lenoir City home improvement store) was backwards. The cold water input pipe had been installed in the hot water outlet and the hot water outlet pipe had been installed in the cold water inlet. When a hot water faucet was turned on, cold refill water went in the top and down through the hot water, cooled it and settled on the bottom of the tank.. We were drawing cooled and cold water from the bottom of the tank instead drawing hot water from the top. Moving the tank and rerouting piping connections was completed by noon time. After the installer left for lunch, the hot water stopped running and we rushed down to the tank to turn it off, but the tank was OK. Water was running out from the tank’s previous location in the crawl space, We turned off all incoming water and called the installer, still having lunch. He came right over and he found an old sweat soldered connection had popped and incoming water just poured out of it.. Fortunately, most of the water (about 30-40 gallons) had collected on the plastic sheet covering a low area on the dirt floor of the crawl space. The installer helped us take out most of eight 5-gallon buckets of water and repaired the broken connection with some of the new no-solder connections. He showed us the problem had been a connection with almost no solder (about 1/16”). His '”rattling” the pipes and the changes in water pressure apparently popped the weak solder job. Now we have all the hot water we need from the same tank which gave us limited hot water before. The installer traced the pipes and found the mistaken installation, which had not been included in the estimate. Then he rushed over to help remove the water and repaired the broken joint, spending about as much time on clean-up and the repair as moving the tank. They moved our tank where we wanted it, diagnosed and fixed our hot water problem, then found and immediately repaired what could have been a lot worse. Great job and we highly recommend Home Options for their plumbing skills and desire to do the job right.

I would not recommend them. I had a theft in my home of jewelry. They didn't stand behind it; their employee stole the items. I went to court for a year and he was found guilty and he pleaded guilty. He's still trying to pay off the state and I will never get a dime. Insurance did not pay for it because I had no receipt. When I retired got a ring, they didn't give me a receipt. The work itself was mediocre. I would give them a C on the actual know-how and mechanical put-together. I absolutely would not use them again.

They did a nice job on that. They also installed soffits on our drive below. They are honest people and do not ask for money up front. Their work is excellent and we would use them again.

He arrived at exactly appointed time, checked everything out and applied substance around the fixture on the roof and from the attic. Appears to solve problem, but can't be sure until next heavy rain, so he said we can call him back if leak re-occurs and they will try more options.
