Herrera Hardscapes

I really couldn't ask for better, or I would not be here taking the time to write this. I had a leaking roof, no time to meet with roofing people during business hours, and a lot of anxiety about how to find someone I could trust. So the leak got worse.  Finally, a friend gave me the number for Herrera Hardscapes-- because he knew the owner was a roofer before he started the hardscape thing. And Marvin Herrera very kindly came to see my roof during weekend hours. He gave me a very fair price, given that it's a big one-story building.  Then he let me know what was happening every step of the way from the color selection and the deposit, to the arrival of materials, to the expected noise and temporary mess, right down to the date of expected completion. He certainly knows what he's doing, and I found that comforting. But he also really listens, which is rare. I'm really glad I called them. I would have overpaid anywhere else simply because I'm a woman, it's obvious that I don't know any better, and I had already let the leak wait longer than I should have. But Marvin Herrera really is a decent human being.  When I can, I will call him again to wipe out the hideous bed of weeds outside the front windows and do something fabulous with the space.
