During the inspection of the new build, a few issues were found that needed to be addressed. Finish nails on the ridge cap ends were not sealed and the pipe collars needed to be properly nailed nailed and secured. They came out promptly when notified of the issues, and even though the pipe collars were the result of the plumbing crew not properly securing them, not the roofing crew, Dave fixed them anyway and sealed the nails, and additionally checked the rest of the roof for anything additional that needed to be done. The gentlemen were courteous, prompt and thorough, and took responsibility for the quality of their work. We would most certainly consider using them for future work that will be done on the property, and recommend the company.

The initial installation seemed to go OK. But after a month or so the porch roof started to get wavy looking at the ends of the metal. When I looked into what the problem was, it turned out that the screws holding the metal roofing down were not tight and wouldn't tighten since they had been installed where they were between the 1x6 decking lumber. I call Dave Covey and he said he would come over and look at it. He didn't. I gave him a while and contacted him again. Again he didn't show. It took a third contact to get him to fix the problem. The final solution was that he had his guys apply silicone sealant to the screws that couldn't be tightened since they can't seal if they can't be tightened, and they added new screws into the wood decking.
Response from DAVE COVEY CONSTRUCTION
"I went out there personally and fixed the problem the best I could. Although his decking and shingles were multiply layers that the longest screws could not penetrate. The only way is to tear off that section of roof in which he wanted to go over. So we did the best possible solution we could do without tearing off that section of roof. Thank Covey's Const."

He did an excellent job. He was about $500-$600 cheaper than anybody else. The highest quote I received was about $6,500. They were done in just 2 days. I was very pleased and would definitely use them again if needed.
