John Pirtle was a friend of mine. I own a real estate co. I referred him a few small jobs and everything went ok. But then I referred him a larger job. He took my clients $1950.00 after 3 weeks of begging him to do the work, we show up and find that instead of getting the carpet that we requested, he had got somebody off of Craigslist to come in and put in the wrong carpet, the seams were running the wrong way. None of the other work was done. There were huge gaps where the carpet was to join the threshold. There were paint splatters everywhere, the fence that he was supposed to build wouldn't shut. There were light fixtures missing. None of the paint work was completed properly, literally painted a room and didn't paint behind an open door. We fired him from the job. Later when we were looking to close we find out that he had filed a lien and never notified us. John unfortunately is a con artist. Not sure what happened but we will not recommend him again. We managed to get to another client before he took any of their money and then he persisted in trying to force them to give him money. We are not sure if he is in rehab or jail now but this guy you better watch out for him. I am available for a call if anybody else is having trouble with him. Jody Hodges 615-522-1724
Description of Work: This was a simple remodel. Paint Carpet, move a stove hood and build a fence. Weeks work at max. None of it got done.

The above review of my company by (deleted member name), is completely inaccurate and false. The owners of the condo I did the work on agreed to pay me $4,000.00 to do repairs on their condo. They paid me half up front and were supposed to pay me the remainder when the job was finished. At the end of the job there was a visible seam in the carpet in the master bedroom. I offered to fix the problem, but I requested that they pay me &1,000.00 of the remaining $2,000.00 owed to me. They refused to pay anything. I filed a lien on the property for the remaining $2,000.00 owed. I am obviously not in rehab or jail as I have completed many other jobs since that time. Unfortunately, (deleted member name) and his clients are the reason that contractors ask for half up front. We have to cover our materials and sometimes we get burned by dishonest people. If you are purchasing a house, or know anybody purchasing a house I strongly urge you not to use (deleted member name) or buy a house that he has listed. He is not honest and we were never friends, we were acquaintances. As for the other job that Jody referenced in his review of me, I refused to do that job because the client had been referred to me by (deleted member name), and he asked me to perform work to defraud his insurance company.
