Southern Builders began installing quality mobile home roofs in 1983. Today our main office is in El Dorado, Ark., with 18,000 square feet of warehouse space. We also have a 31,000-square-foot facility in Lebanon, Tenn., just outside Nashville. The service is provided by a 2 man crew lead man and helper. In my case both of the men did a first rate installation worked as a great team and I watched the entire installation and not a single moment was wasted time and they were able to answer all my questions explaining their needs and how that will aid them to complete the project and meet my needs. I must say they set an example that any company could be very proud of.
The sales office is out of El Dorado Arkansas with satellite warehouses in my case in Lebanon Tn the service tech were out of Cookville Tn.
I would strongly suggest a gutter system be developed to complement the roof over system. My moble is 14 x 57' gable roof. The system for my roof adds about 800 lbs to the weight of the mobile. Vents were replaced with new vents and the roof is fully trimmed and provides a 12" overhang on the sides and 6" on the ends. 3" insulation, Its raining hard today and windy all is quiet. Gutters it needs gutters to really make it complete. The symetry was eye pleasing and corners fitted PERFECTLY
My background is in quality control so my eye is critical and I was very impressed with the accuracy and detail applied to the installation The overall appearance, surface, peak trim, color and finish were perfect. I am very impressed. Now lets see how it holds up. I am confident that I will have years of trouble free installation and performance.. Time will tell
WARNING having had the roof installed for a few week now and experienced rain and snow and ice the problems have come to the surface.
(1) NO drip edge added and the facing trim is 90 degrees to the roof directing the water back at the foundation and side of the mobile home. This is unacceptable. The facing trim is not adequate to support gutters I will add material to the back side of the trim to add strength to secure my gutters I will install.
I will now contact Southern Builders and ask them to provide a drip edge and see how they respond.
My scores have been changed from "A" to "C" until I receive a response from Southern Builders.
