QUALITY SIDING & WINDOWS

When the work was started I admit I believed the men working on my home knew what they where doing. I watched and told them what I wanted and was happy with the visual results, believing that the stairs where properly installed because they LOOKED properly installed. I was happy with the siding as a whole, and the windows looked fine, but after the workers were gone we started finding problems. None of the windows had been sealed, and as soon as we got a hard snow, snow was coming in the cracks around the windows. The stars where nailed in, not bolted, and while the walls looked fine, they had not been taped before mudding. We didn't find this out til the seams started cracking not 4 months after the work was done. Now I'm left with another huge bill to fix what is messed up because the contractor doesn't believe he is responsible. I signed off on the work when the job was finished. I signed a paper saying I was satisfied with the work done, so it's my responsibly. So much for guaranteed work. On top of all of this, after the work was done, I learned that the man I was trusting to work on my house day in and day out was stealing from me. This is what I get for trusting someone. I consider this a lesson learned, but still hold a grudge against the contractor at Quality Siding and Windows for sending a known thief (I learned he had an EXTENSIVE criminal record, mostly theft) to my house without telling me. I've dropped my rating on this business across the board, and if I find more problems, I'll do so again. If Quality Siding and Windows doesn't want bad reviews, they should keep a better eye on the peoplethey hire. Update: After a recent thunder storm we lost quite a bit of siding and metal stripping from the house. I was surprised to find that much of the soffit was installed incorrectly and all the way around the house it came off. As of this point I am considering legal actions.
