Center continues to exceed my expectations in veterinary care and client care!
They are currently caring for an abandoned, starved and covered in mange puppy
that was found a few weeks ago, boxed and dumped at a thrift store-found by a
wonderful caring person?.In their loving care this pup has gained +2 pounds in 2
weeks, she is out of her mange quarantine and appears to have forgiven the
human race for what her prior ?owner? did to her?..she is one happy puppy and
getting healthier every day! This is what they do?..every day for every animal
that enters their clinic.
I have been taking my cats to Village Veterinary Medical Center (VVMC)-Knoxville since I moved to Tennessee in 2000. Dr. Lively and Dr. Mays are the best vets I've ever known. In addition to their incredible veterinary diagnostic skills, knowledge, compassion, and top of the line staff, they are personable and caring people to the animals AND their owners (what a
novel concept!). You know when you meet them that they are all ?animal people.?
Once a course of treatment has been determined, all phases of medical care and costs are reviewed with the pet owner
concerning treatment. Medical issues are explained in as much or as little detail as the owner wants in understandable terminology. I know that when I leave my cat in the care of Village Veterinary Medical Center that everything that can be done....will be done! Our pets can?t last forever but while we have them, they deserve the best to make the time we have them happy & healthy?.follow the directions of the Veterinarians and that?s what you get.
Their pricing is within the normal range of fees for the area, BUT it's the diligence of care that exceeds my expectations?.every time!.....the value of that is priceless......I want the best for my pets and the best care for them is at Village Veterinary Medical
Center where it's all about the pet??and the pet parent! It is well worth the 2 hour round-trip from home to their expert hands!
Customer Service is another area they surpass my expectations? From the moment you walk into the office to the moment you
leave. They ALWAYS return phone calls in a timely manner and the staff monitors and also responds to emails in a very timely manner. I am in awe of how well the facility is run-medically and administratively, the cleanliness, and how much everyone really cares about my pets.
Village Veterinary Medical Center is an AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association) accredited veterinary hospital. It means
VVMC holds itself to a higher standard, and that your pet is receiving care at a hospital that has passed the highest standards in veterinary care. Unlike human hospitals, animal hospitals are not required to be accredited. Veterinary hospitals are evaluated on approximately 900 standards of veterinary excellence in order to become accredited. AAHA-accredited
hospitals are recognized among the finest in the industry, and are consistently at the forefront of advanced veterinary medicine. Only 12% (approx.) of veterinary hospitals are accredited.
