Veteran Home Renovations

After getting three different bids on our 13-year-old deck, we decided to go with Veteran Home Renovation. It had been showing increasing rot over time, and John walked us through two cost parameters: one for replacing flat surfaces and the other for a total rebuild. In the end, we decided to go for the total rebuild. Not only did John’s team complete the majority of the work in 3 to 4 weeks, but also John personally came back and went over punchlist items with me that he completed and sent follow-up pictures for. We live in Ohio, and the deck work was completed in Lafollette, [Tennessee]. It took a lot of trust on our part that quality work would be completed without cutting corners. We were not disappointed. In fact, I have recommended him already to some neighbors and plan on using his company again for future projects.

They were quick with a good quote. And quick to start and finish the job. Pleasant to deal with and all work exceeded expectations. Would definitely hire again.

John and his crew are excellent. This was a large screened in deck build, over 200 square feet, and they had it done in under a month. They would have been done even faster if not for weather. Extremely reasonable pricing for a job of this size. The entire crew was incredibly polite and professional. Most of this job was done while we weren't home and I never had any worries about that. The quality of the carpentry done on the deck, especially the frame, was very impressive, the screening was done neatly with no seams showing, and the roof looks extra study too. I would absolutely hire again and probably will in the future.

John and his team met or exceeded all of my expectations. He was very responsive to all of my questions and quickly addressed any concerns that I had. They did an excellent job of making sure everything was pristine and completed to my satisfaction before wrapping up.

He takes all the time you need to discuss all aspects of the job and then follows through. I am also quite impressed the team who built the deck. There was good communication; they worked quickly; they cleaned up afterwards. And the deck—it’s perfect!

Absolutely wonderful from the quote, building process, and finished product. I gave a general idea and he designed it. It looks so modern with Trek material and metal railings! Reasonable, pleasant to deal with, fast and high quality workmanship!

John did a great job, the deck was beautiful, and the concrete pad was well built, and built the shed for us. Very reliable person.

Everything went very well. I was surprised John was able to get all the work done in less than one day. He and his workers were very kind and efficient.

Fantastic! John and his crew showed up when they said they wood and got right to work taking down our front deck and building a better larger one. Then did the same with the back deck. Tore off the old vinyl and redid the new vinyl, along with painting the foundation and the windows and sill. Put in a concrete walkway to our driveway and put on seamless gutters. His prices were very fair and it worked out to be one stop shopping for everything we needed.

Excellent! John did a great job getting our kitchen installed. John, showed up on time, and stayed tell the days tasks were complete. John is knowledgeable and takes care to make sure things are done right the first time. If there are issues, John is upfront and will fix what he can. Love the new kitchen.

John and his crew were great! John was very good to work with and explained things in detail for me, especially after getting a termite scare. Luckily, I didn't have termites and John and his crew reinforced areas where the deck originally was so that the wood was protected as it should of been. Overall, would definitely recommend and hire again if I need anything!

Extremely well. John and his uncle were very personable and very professional. They worked methodically and carefully, yet very smoothly together, and put together a deck which was even better than what we had discussed when John and I had first talked about the project.
