This company is not professional, will not own a mistake, the owner will completely ARGUE with you rather than owning a mistake and correcting it. Your invoice will not be clearly itemized, the cost is OUTRAGEOUS, their claim of warranty work is not warrantied because they will not own their mistakes in order to correct anything. The owner is extremely defensive and is not reasonable at all. I have proof and documentation that supports all of this. I would HIGHLY suggest for you to look somewhere else! I would NOT let them even come to your home or be on your property. Workers will deliberately throw pieces of sharp sheet metal out in your drive and yard as if throwing a fit. Owner will NOT apologize for ANYTHING nor take any OWNERSHIP of mistakes so dont expect fairness or a level headed person.

We reached out and initiated work in October of 2020. It’s February 2021 and we STILL don’t have a copy of the inspection report that they conducted in December 2020 AFTER installing a brand new chimney cap in November of 2020. Who installs a chimney cap without an inspection first?! We were led to believe an inspection was happening during the installation and were later informed that it was actually an ‘assessment’ we had done. So they tried to make amends by scheduling an inspection ‘on the house’ bc of the misunderstanding. Which was very nice and we were all for it. They came out in early December 2020 for the inspection and I was told they would send over photos, the inspection report and an estimate of work that needed to be done. You can imagine what comes next. Absolutely nothing. It is very clear that they are actually ignoring us, at this point. So we have a very nice, EXPENSIVE chimney cap on our NON-WORKING chimney, but no idea what it looks like on the inside, or if it can even hold the cap up bc we have had no access to an inspection report. We still can’t even get our damper open. It’s all a joke. The only time we have heard from them is when we confirmed our install for the chimney cap. They wanted a deposit of half, which we paid happily. Then they called 45 minutes after installation to collect the rest. That’s it. WHAT A NIGHTMARE of an experience we have had.

It was a 4000 insert. It looks great/works great, but owner would not return repeated calls to come back to reinstall roof guard that had blown off. We had to get someone else to do this who noted the screws were sitting on top but had not been inserted.

It took them half a day to do the work. They put everything back. They sent pictures to my husband right after they did it, since we were out of the state. We called him and he fixed it within two weeks. He told us he had another job going on, so we figured it would be a month or even longer. He was excellent. If he can't do it, he'll recommend someone who can. I would use him again in a heartbeat.

The flue to my wood stove dropped out of the ceiling; it had rusted.  Josh came in and showed me the problem.  I told him I would like to have a wood stove with a glass door, and he sold me one.  I stipulated that I wanted a blower and an ash pan on the stove.  He assured me that this model Timberwolf 2200 came with both.  I ordered one, and he came a couple days later to install it.  He was very personable, seemed to know his stuff.  I had another chimney sweep inspect Josh's work the day after it was completed.  He told me that the stove was top of the line, and that Josh had done an excellent job except for leaving ridges where he gooped up the shingles on the roof.  I have to keep an eye open when it rains to see if rain is getting under the shingles.  
I do have two complaints.  When he was done, I asked Josh where the blower was.  He replied that a blower did not come with the unit.  I had specified that I wanted a blower.  I called the manufacturer who told me that a blower indeed came with the unit.  Where is my blower?  Also, the door will not shut properly; there is a 1/2 inch gap where hot ashes can get out.  I sent Josh email and left phone messages to come fix it.  I have gotten no reply, and it has now been a month.  Am I happy?  I am not!!!
Do I recommend his services?  I do not!!!  People, do not pay him off until you get satisfactory results. He is an excellent chimney sweep, I do say, but his business practices are awful.

Josh and his crew did a fantastic job!  They were very professional, helpful in choosing the new shingles (because we wanted to go with a 50 year roof and a new color scheme), and finished the job in 2 days.  They cleaned up very well and there was little to no debris left around the house and in the yard.  We had to wait several months because they were so busy roofing after the storm, and we are extremely glad we did!

Initially I had the first appointment date wrong - when I called and asked where they were, Josh went ahead and rearranged his schedule to get to my house that day, rather than waiting for my correct appointment which was several days away.  He was very helpful and knowledgeable, and hopefully has solved a long-standing problem I have had with a leak associated with my chimney and roof.  On the day of the service he showed up early, and completed all the repairs requested, including fixing some installation problems with my fireplace insert that I didn't know were problems - e.g. the previous installer had installed the blower unit and trim incorrectly, and also did not extend the flue enough for the chimney cap to fit on correctly.  He also offered to come back out during the next rain to assess the repairs to make sure the leak is fixed.

I will definitely continue to use this company for any fireplace/chimney needs - Josh is great!

The chimney began leaking again within 2 months. We called him multiple times before reaching him or receiving a response. He finally called back and scheduled a time to perform the repairs. He did not show up for the scheduled appointment.

We have been unable to reach him since and over 20 calls have gone unanswered and voicemails not returned. We filed a complaint with the BBB. The owner is refusing to respond to the BBB as well.

We intend to file a complaint in Small Claims Court.
