Dr Bea and her staff member came and took care of business. The older ones had blood work done. The visit went very smoothly. None of the cats got stressed out, so there were no problems afterwards. They even approached Dr Bea and snuggled up with her on the floor.
The cost was what I expected. Bloodwork the most expensive part as it goes to UT. Results back the next day or so. However, it was necessary as the girls haven't had a checkup in the last. year or so.
Visit is based on mileage, but an office visit is usually $25.00 or more per pet, so the $67.00 was still reasonable, as I did not have to leave the comfort of my home. Then each cat has a checkup cost. Still well within what I have paid at the vet clinic.
walking to go outside, staggering somewhat. When he came back in and got
back in bed, I spooned behind him until he stopped shivering for about a
half hour, then he went to sleep. When we got up again a couple hours
later, he staggered outside again, went weewee, then came in and laid on
their couch. (yes, my dogs have their own couch) He could not get up
again after that and would not eat or drink. Dr. Bea came and said he
was not going to get up again in her professional assessment and that it
was apparent the couple times he propped up on his elbows for 3 seconds
and flopped back down on his side that he just didn't have the strength
anymore. His gums were bright red, a bad sign. He had a fever. After
much prayer and many hugs and kisses Yah took him home with an assist
from kind and compassionate Dr. Bea.
She has been my vet since about 2004 and also supported me when my Black Lab, Grrrl, had to be put down 3 years ago on New Year's Day. Even though she and her husband were on their way home from a long trip out of town when I called her that time, she answered and coached me and promised to be there as soon as she got back a couple hours later, which she did! She is a true one of a kind vet and to top it all off, she loves YHWH! HalleluYah!
I highly recommend Dr. Bea to anyone that loves their pet. She is the best!!!!
She showed up when she said she would (rare these days) and talked with Max and us about the process. She was so kind with him and us. When we were ready she did what needed to be done.
It is obvious that Dr. Moody cares about animals. It is also obvious that she cares about animal owners. She was nothing but considerate and kind.
Once before I had to do this. I took the dog to the vet and said goodbye. I think this was a better way to do it. He got to be home, go to sleep to chase rabbits, and we got to say goodbye properly. When the time comes to get another dog. It is a good possibility that Dr. Moody may become our regular vet.
Thank you Bea.
Dr. Bea always tries to accomodate my schedule, coming after work hours if needed. We have been dog owners for 40 years - Dr. Bea is the most caring vet we have ever had.
