"Ms. [Member Name Removed], We apologize for the inconvenience. I was informed by our general manager that the work took longer than expected due to the fact that the engineered flooring was glued to the concrete and came up in very small pieces, which should've been communicated to you, our apologies. The extra money we asked for was for additional work you requested outside of the original scope (change order #1) to paint walls and trim that was damaged by crayons, nothing to do with Testerman. There was a credit given on change order #2 at the end of the job for work that was chosen not to do. We can't imagine why the final documents stating the job was complete were signed on January 5, if in fact we lacked work. If you' d like to discuss the work that needs to be complete, please reach out to our office. We appreciate your business, and the opportunity to work at your home. Amanda M Business Development, Testerman Restoration, LLC"
They came in, gave us an estimate and a timeline when the work would be done. Very professional and courteous. They were always prompt and if the weather held them off, we were always called and rescheduled. They also warranty their work. They also did a few extra things we needed done while they were there. The manager and all the workers were great and very helpful. When the work was complete the agent came out checked to see that everything was alright, and that we were satisfied. We would recommend them to all our family and friends. They were outstanding.
laminate flooring that was delivered to our home was damaged and was used during the repair job. Afterward, we found several places where the laminate was chipped in the corners and sides of the boards. We had them come back and replace/repair most of the damaged boards. The laminate was also installed incorrectly next to the door leading to the garage (no gap was left between the laminate and wall to allow for expansion); this also had to be redone. In addition, the new insulation under the house was improperly installed (part of it was installed upside down with the paper backing facing out; also, a large gap of about 3 feet was left without any insulation at all). It took a total of 3 visits before this was fixed. In the end, everything was finally made right, and the people at Testerman were all very nice and worked with us to get everything fixed (I would especially like to thank Jason, our estimator, who did a great job of writing up everything that needed to be done). Overall, though, I can only give Testerman Restoration a C rating due to the issues we encountered. To be fair, most of the problems we had were with the flooring subcontractor on the job, and not with Testerman themselves.
"Thank you for choosing to use Testerman Restoration for your repair work. We certainly appreciate your business and your feedback. One of our company goals is to provide quality work, so we were disappointed to read your negative comments regarding the flooring work performed at your residence. We select our list of material suppliers based on quality, and when chosen materials aren’t provided by one of our approved vendors, then sometimes the quality and service may not be a good match. Due to the lower quality of the flooring chosen outside of our vendor list, we did the best we could to make it look as good as it possibly could. This helpful feedback will serve as a lesson for us on future flooring repairs. We want to sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and that you weren’t completely satisfied. We are glad that the issues were eventually resolved, and thank you for the positive comments about our team. We hope that you would consider hiring us again should the need arise."
"We recently received a copy of your review, and wanted to take a moment to respond. Our company prides itself on providing great service and in a timely manner, which is why we were so disappointed to read your post. Please accept our most sincere apologies. It's not common that we get this type of feedback you provided, and although it is discouraging to read, it will help us make our team even better in the future. We regret that your experience was not completely satisfying, and assure you that we will continue to listen to our customers’ feedback. I hope we can address your concern, and that you would give us the pleasure of serving you in the future. Thank you for your comments. Again, we are sorry that we failed to meet your expectations. We would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you about this situation. If interested we may be reached at our office 865 691 1169. Sincerely, Muffet Testerman Buckner, Owner Ben Testerman, Owner Amanda Moore, Director of Marketing and Business Development"
Ben's construction management and communications skills are exceptional, and his subcontractors are very good at their work. Would definitely use him again!
