When going for service at Ted Russell Ford Lincoln Mercury, it is imperative that you ask for Ted Frankewitz! As a women who knows minimal about car engines, it was important to me to take my car to someone who not only cared about the sale/service but about me too. Many times Ted fit me in when I was heading off on a work trip and my car was acting odd. His professionalism and consistent kindness made him my go-to person at the service department. I had never had another service agent take care of me but I didn't need anyone else because I knew Ted would be honest and fair and kind and respectful.

It was the weirdest thing. We told them exactly what we wanted when we're on the phone. We called and they had it. That was the good thing. They had the vehicle. When we came to get it, it was ready. We were in and out of there. It was so quick. The things that I didn't like is like the SiriusXM radio. They must not ever called it in because when the three month trial was off, they just cut it off. We never got the letter from the SiriusXM. He told me that they kept calling but they never did. They didn't show us the things on the car. He said that we didn't set up the radios and that we had the wrong kind of cellphone, which we didn't. We got home and read the manual, we had that done enough of ourselves.

I did not have the 12 Jeep Wrangler serviced at Ted Russell, still under
manufactures warranty.  I bought the Jeep with just 17,000 miles. The
salesman, John McCoy, I had was aces. I pretty much received the deal I
wanted, The Jeep was detailed nicely and looked great. The salesman had a
base plate taken off the front of my trade-in out of his own pocket.
Seemed like forever to finish the paperwork. All in all it was an
average experience except for the salesman. I was a little upset when
they would not fill the tank with gas. Never have I  bought a car new or
used, from a dealer,  that was not filled with gas on delivery. As much
as I paid for the Jeep $75.00 worth of gas would not kill them. They
did give me a slip for $20.00

I contacted the service writer who told me to bring vehicle in. When I arrived he announced that they were going to charge me for a rotation. At this point, it isn't about the money but that they would charge me for something like this on a brand new $40,000 vehicle.
I addressed the issue later in the week with Perry Ball, the service manager. He assured me that they would address this issue for no charge.
Here is wher it gets even better..... Took two days after they told me same day. The worst part is that thhey damaged and marred the wheels in the act of removing them. That is the very reason i didnt do this myself! Any idiot can bust a wheel off with a sledge!
I contacted Perry and promptly got sufficient run around to give up. I made a complaint to Ford Motor Company, which got me another phone call full of platitiudes.
NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!

I had them detail the engine on my 03 Mustang GT which I use for car shows sometimes. They did a wonderful job, engine looked like new. I won't be ashamed to open my hood at the next show! And the price was great at $40.

We brouht the vehicle in the week after we purchased it on the day that the dealership set up the appointment.  My wife left it all day in which the dealership was supposed to call when done.  My wife called back at the end of the day and was told that they had to order parts and they forgot to call her for her to come and get the car.  When she picked it up they forgot to detail it and said they would detail it when she brought it back in.

On the second trip she droped off the vehicle and they had it all day.  They once again forgot to call when it was done.  We went to pick it up and the window they fixed wouldn't roll up and they borke the keypad for the door lock and the inside button door locks wouldn't work.  They also said that they had ordered the wrong part so the console wasn't fixed and we would have to bring it in a third time.  They said they alos forgot to deatail the car again.  I spoke to the manager and said we needed to get this resolved in which we set up another appointment.

On the third trip we dropped off the car and they gave us a rental to use while they worked on the car.  The car wasn't ready until the next day in which during the time period of us dropping it off and picking it up they had to call us 3 times to find out what was wrong with the car.  We finally got the car the next evening and everything seems to be working but they still forgot to detail the car.

In closing I will never buy or have any of my vehicles serviced by any of the Ted Russel Ford dealerthips.

1) Wife & I walked into Parkside dealership to test drive a Mustang convertible.
In showroom 5 mins.  No one else there.
Had to approach sales desk where 2 sales people were talking.
"Ted" not real name took us out for test drive.  Not impressed with Mustang.
2) Two days later called and asked for Ted.  Got his voicemail.  I assumed he was off.  Called back and got a salesman.  I inquired about a used *.* car I had located on the internet.  Salesman said he would look into it and he or his partner would call me back within 30 mins.  Never a call.
3) Went to dealership 4 hours later & found Ted on the floor.  Had an excuse for not aswering.
4) He located car in question.
5) Test drove it.
6) Started negotiating price & items to be fixed (bumper, wheel damage, empty gas tank, needed oil change).
7) Would fix bumper & wheel but would not fill up tank or change oil on a used car.  "That's Ted Russell's policy".  Don't forget a $45K car.
8) Two days later agreed to my requests.
9) Promised car for the next Monday.
10) Car ready Wednesday.  More excuses.
11) Car given to me with only one key fob.  Replacement costs $300.  They claim original owner only gave them one.
WHY didn't they insist the person give them both??  One good thing, if I am to believe them, is that they contacted the original owner after my purchase.  She stated she didn't have it.  I traded my vehicle giving them only one key fob.  Extra can rot in my house.
LOTS MORE to this saga but too numerous to mention.
I don't trust the people I dealt with.  The oil seemed to be clean.  Right quality?  The tank was full - probably regular grade when it calls for super.
I WILL NEVER STEP INSIDE A TED RUSSELL DEALERSHIP AGAIN.
I have purchased ~30 new mid to high end vehicles in the past 40 years.  My worst experience ever.
I'm used to service provided to me by Mercedes, BMW, Lexus, Acura.  I've had good to great service provided by all previously mentioned dealerships over the past 6 years I've lived here.  YES, I've had 4 new vehicles in the 6 years.  Maybe Ted Russell is used to providing sub standard service.

We were pleased with Ford. They know how to deal with the Thunderbirds, we feel. When you're in an accident, you expect that you're going to have some high prices in terms of repairs. We did not pay anything that we did not expect to per say though. We felt that we were charged a fair price for the fix-up job they did, and we would use them again in the future because they're reputable, close, and since we own a vehicle by that company, that's where we like it having work done.

Ted Russell Ford did excellent work on my tailgate on my 2000 Mountaineer, which was damaged in an accident. They were polite and courteous. They returned all of my phone calls within the day I called. However, they were a couple of days late with the repair beyond which they had told me it would be. When my vehicle was returned to me it was clean inside and out. The work was professional and my Mountaineer looked very nice.
