"Thank you [member name removed] for the kind words. It was great to hear from you again and will be happy to help any way I can in the future!! William Cunningham"
William was courteous and professional and answered all my questions. I was cleaning my gutters and found another issue that I will ask him back to do. This house will need a roof in a few seasons and I promise SunTech will be asked to bid.
I got several estimates, some were triple, one was 5 times as high for what amounted to under three hours of labor, I don't think attorneys bill for that much. William was right on the money I feel. The other companies I think assumed I must be stupid if I couldn't/wouldn't take on this job myself...As you can see they weren't hired.
It's supposed to rain in a few days, as long as we've got no leaks I'm happy!
not too well....work delayed, guarantee not honored. This is not to say others might have a better expeience, but I have documents of communications accidently forwarded to me showing this company has worked iwth Sanders to retaliate against me for reporting poor workmanship which could have killed me.
Mr. Cunningham has threatened and abused me by these threats which have caused great trauma.
I am currently awaiting trial of a care givers family that robbed me and took my identity and this companies abuse has been very traumatic. I have told them NOT to come to my door as this criminal family might come around unless I am called first and Mr. Cunningham kept pounding
UPDATE: 5/23/2012
I have updated my complaint because Sun Tech is claiming i was overpaid by my insurance by $1,000.....it is important that this issue be addressed because it is false. In fact, Sun Tech and Sanders (my two complaints) worked together. The recovery by my carrier was 9k for the solar AND roof replacement. The solar cost around 2k + which did not even leave enough for his bill....and of course with his not changing the rafters and not using the materials he billed for his bill should not be more than 6.5 to 7k, less if you consider he will not honor his warantee and I have a leak. He was sent 7k already.
"We are not surprised to see the complaint filed against our company by the member. Apparently the member has a habit of doing this to businesses who perform work for her and then ask to be paid for the services provided. If you could do a search to see the complaints lodged against companies by the member, I'm sure you'd see that this is her way to try to intimidate companies so they will just write off the balance owed as a loss in order to avoid dealing with her in the future. I met with her insurance adjuster back in May 2011 and we have confirmation she received the insurance benefit of $9,175.00, which the insurance company actually overpaid her by $1,000.00. I had the member sign a contract agreeing on the roof replacement amount of $8,175.00 and at the time I'm sure she had already spent the insurance money that should have been alloted to pay for the roof replacement. As soon as we completed the job and gave her an invoice for the balance due of $8,175.00, we waited approximately three weeks before we called to check on when the total balance would be paid. This is when we learned she didn't have the money because of other problems at her home and she took it upon herself to use the money that was intended to pay for the roof replacement and have other things fixed at her home before she signed the contract with us. The member then also took it upon herself to make payments to us on the balance owed. We have contended all along that if that was how she wanted to handle paying for the work, this should have been discussed prior to signing the contract. In our contract it clearly states that the balance owed is due in full at the completion of the job - this is the same contract she signed without reading any of the contract details. Our company does not accept payments - we are a small company and can't afford to be responsible for her problems with her home that are not related to the roof. Again, this seems to be a pattern with the member with my company and others. William Cunningham"
