Standard Kitchen & Bath

Very helpful advise and direction from our designer. She payed attention to details.  The cabinets were delayed by a couple of months due to snowy weather in KY where they were manufactured.  Would recommend them and will use in the furture.

While the company has other designers, Larry Fendley, the owner, worked with us. We had some idea of what we wanted and Larry listened and then guided us through all of the other decisions we needed to make. He was generous with his time and willing to offer advice and suggestions for other parts of the remodel that did not involve him, such as flooring. We had started our remodel process with a designer at Home Depot but were not pleased with the quality of the cabinets there. After talking through the project with Larry, we realized that not only would we get better quality cabinets from him, we also would get a better design. He brought up design concerns we had never thought of but that needed to be addressed.
The cabinets were the largest expenditure of our remodel but that makes sense as they are the most prominent thing you see when you walk into the kitchen. Additionally, the cabinets from Standard Kitchen and Bath installed are excellent quality. We have been using them for almost 2 years now and they are as perfect as the day they were installed.
One thing we did not expect was the need to purchase all of our appliances before the cabinets could be ordered. Larry insisted on this and we later discovered why. When the final installation was done and the appliances went in, everything fit perfectly! No problems at all. The installers did a fantastic job. This just shows how much experience they have at Standard Kitchen and Bath. They plan to do everything correctly from the beginning.
Because we wanted to do some of the work ourselves for our remodel (demolition and prep), our project took longer than normal. Larry and his team were always patient with us and willing to work with our schedule.
We would not use anyone else for kitchen and bath needs. In fact, we have already started a bathroom remodel and Larry not only helped us choose the cabinet and counter-top, but helped us think through all of the other decisions we need to make to finish the project. He knows all of the tile, glass, granite, etc. shops in the area and has given us helpful suggestions about which ones might have what we need.
