I saw Dr.Doppelt (2015) to have a raised, black skin lesion biopsied. After examining the area, he said it was squamous cell skin cancer and performed a shave biopsy.

Well it turned out to be stage II melanoma skin cancer and he referred me to an oncologist. The oncologist performed an excision (major surgery performed in the hospital) and it was re-staged to stage III melanoma skin cancer because the shave biopsy only took off the surface of the cancer and left a large amount of cancer still under my skin.

And because the cancer was not fully removed by the shave biopsy it metastasized to my lymph node. So, based on my experience, I would not recommend Dr. Doppelt for any type of skin cancer diagnosis and/or biopsies.

The reason I am commenting now on Dr. Doppelt is because a few months ago, after 7 months, I received a voicemail from his office stating, "We still have a spot that we have not treated from back in July of last year, and I was wondering if you can schedule for a follow-up , so we could recheck that spot."

This is the first time that I was informed that I have another "spot" and it took them 7 months to contact me.

Dr. Doppelt and his staff are very unprofessional and incompetent.

He's excellent! I've recommended him to my neighbor. He has a great knowledge base on skin conditions and a great office staff. He's very personable and he takes his time with each patient. He listens to you and is very thorough.

I'm so glad I saw Dr. Doppelt. He was exactly what I was hoping for in a dermatologist. He entered the room with a warm smile on his face, making me feel very much at ease. He was professional, knowledgeable, and best of all, he was very caring. His exam was thorough, and I liked how he educated me along the way. I asked for advice on skin care, and he provided that without pushing products on me. I also appreciated his entire staff. They were friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable. I plan on being a patient there for a long time.

He got me in very quickly and opened a space on his calendar for the surgical removal of the melanoma. The scar has healed beautifully and I now return for routine monitoring. The staff is all very pleasant. My appointments are always on time. I routinely have to have biopsies done, so I get a lot of chances to interact with the entire staff. In over two years of visiting the clinic, I have not had a single issue of missed appointment, delay, etc. The organization seems very smoothly run and a pleasure to deal with.

When I got there they were pretty busy but the wait time was not very long. I was taken back to the room where I spoke to the nurse and explained why I was there. Then the doctor came in and looked me over and the whole visit took less than 30 minutes.

I've seen him mostly for basal cell removal but he also does a lot of prosthetic stuff too. He does injections and everything. I've had a good experience all around. I will absolutely continue to see him.

Their punctuality left much to be desired. They would leave us in a freezing cold room for way too long. Their communication left much to be desired. They just scratched down a prescription and send it off to the drugstore. When we got to the drugstore they filled a couple and they said they didn't fill one because they didn't have it and our insurance didn't cover it. Also, that particular prescription was $900. He said we would try that prescription and maybe it will work so we should come back in 3 months and we will see what happened. We don't need a $900 maybe it's going to work prescription without any forewarning on his part. he should have known ball park figures on these medications, he should have prescribed it unless it was a slam dunk that it would work for $900.
