My experience with Smokey Mountain Tops was excellent; I found a high level of professionalism at each step of the project. My countertops are quartzite and beautiful. When installed, there was a rough spot in one area, they had a professional out immediately to deal with the spot successfully. I found my project coordinator, Megan, to be responsive to all my questions. She was timely in returning emails and always positive regardless of my questions. I would definitely use them again and I highly recommend them.

Excellent service from help with selection, to installation to repair of a tiny flaw noticed after installation. The cambria torquay countertops are absolutely beautiful. The price was high just b/c counter tops are expensive, however their price was very reasonable relative to other quotes we received. Every individual with whom we interacted at Smoky Mtn Tops was friendly, knowledgable and very professional, and they were extremely prompt in responding to any questions or requests. The repair work on the flaw is remarkable - absolutely invisible! I would highly recommend these folks.

Original fabrication and installation quote finalized on 8/25. They came to measure on two occasions - once in September, and again in October with a laser for "more precise" measurements. The countertops I provided to them the 1st week in September were finally fabricated by November 6th! However, they tried to charge me more than DOUBLE what was originally quoted without prior communication! I only found out they seemed the tops already after I asked for them back since I was not going to pay that much over their written quote. I paid the original quote off IN FULL on 12/3. They REFUSED to install my countertops as originally stated in their quote and two sales guys DROPPED OFF my tops on 12/11. Since my kitchen has been out of service without countertops for the holidays, we were forced to install the tops ourselves, only to then find out that their measurements were off! Our range does not fit, and we were told to "just take a belt sander to the finished edge until the stove fits"! Unbelievable...!!!

It's a quartz top. They had  a selection that we liked. They came out and did a good job, and we got what we asked for.

That was the first time I used them. They had three workers come out for the job and it took them 45 minutes to an hour for the installation. They were precise on the measuring. I would recommend them. What I liked most was their professionalism and they knew their product. The only unexpected issue I ran into was that my countertops have a smudgy look to them and I wish somebody had told me that it depends on the stone, and it looks like they are dirty. It looks scummy and it is in the stone. I won’t buy granite again and that had nothing to do with the company.

We went to the showroom with measurements and drawings. We chose 2 samples to take home and compare with our existing cabinets, floors, etc. They were very prompt with the estimate and we returned to the store to choose our slab and sinks and set the appointments. The guy came out and measured for us and answered all my questions. He told us we did not have to remove our existing backsplash as they could notch the back of the granite and install over it. This saved us a lot of time and money and the new granite looks great with the existing tile.
The day of installation went well. They had numbered the kitchen sink wrong and had brought the wrong one out. I noticed it before they put the granite on, so someone was able to bring the correct one while the guys continued working.  There were no further surprises so installation was completed in half a day. The workers were wonderful and cleaned up after themselves. They sealed the granite and told me the best products to buy and how to care for the counter tops. We were very pleased with the process from start to finish.

Smokey Mountain Tops installed a day earlier than originally scheduled, showed up on time, and did a first rate job on the install. Their estimate was on the button, and they weren't any more expensive than anyone else we contacted. My stepson, an interior designer in Washington, D.C, who has decorated upscale restaurants, condo lobbies and the homes of members of Congress and network reporters, said that their install was totally professional. We had one minor glitch, in that they forgot to leave the bracket for our disposal (which was 28 years old anyway) but made up for it by fixing one small nick free of charge. We're very pleased with the results, and would recommend Smokey Mountain Tops.

The counter tops were fitted a day early and the fitters were very efficient. However, nobody notified Lowes so that they could arrange for the plumber to connect the faucets. So I was left without an operating sink for 3 day. Lowes should find a better, more efficient sub contractor.

Measurement took place in December - he actually came out on December 24 (the cabinets had arrived late and the job was 3 weeks behind). He spent maybe 45 minutes to an hour measuring - seemed determined to get accurate measurements. Countertop installed in January. Very professional and courteous. Left a few gaps against the walls. Called Smokey Mtn and they sent someone right out to caulk. A few months later, the seam was bothersome to me (I was used to solid surface countertops previously - seams were not noticeable). Called and they sent someone out free of charge. He reworked it - not sure what he did, but the seam was less noticeable. Again, very professional and courteous. For the amount of countertop installed, I do feel like they are on the high end price-wise, but I would still highly recommend.

They were wonderful! I had no problems from going to the store, picking out what I want to the measuring. They came and installed it in a timely manner. I am still thrilled to this day every time I go to my kitchen. The people who did the work were good. I had no complaints at all. I also checked the price with other people and they were on the same range. I think Smokey Mountain Tops was great. I will absolutely use them again in the future if needed.

This installation is less than 4 years old and looks terrible. The quality of caulking used was inferior. The caulk has dried up and cracked all the length caulking was applied. I supplied them with detailed pictures. The company refuses to honor a request to replace the caulk. They want $125 to do the job. I offered to go in half with them. Their response was,
"I am sorry Mr. name, per my superior, caulking at the tile wall and the solid
surface top is not something we can warranty for a period over 1 year. There are
just too many variables that could have caused the “cracking” condition that are
outside of our control. I am unable to service your request for any amount under
the standard $125 for the work."
ALL other caulked sinks throughout my house are good. They refuse to own up to their responsibility.
They are being very cheap and short-sighted about my problem as I have 2 bathrooms needing new counter tops.
NEVER AGAIN!

I contracted with Smokey Mountain tops for a quote on installation of a quartz countertop for my kitchen. The sales personnel were very professional, prompt, friendly and fair minded. The work was done promptly. I was very well pleased with the results.

We had ceramic tile countertops and the color was very dated (almost 20 years old). In addition, the grout on our old counterops was discolored and impossible to clean thoroughly. I removed the old countertops myself. Fortunately it was a quality job and the plywood underlayment had been screwed to the cabinets from underneath. So we were able to unscrew them and lft off the old tops. This meant we were using temporary plywood tops for several days.
SMT minimized the time we were down. The prices was less than we expected and was done on time. The installation crew was top notch. There is one seam and it is nearly invisible. They spent a lot of time on the seam. Cut outs for the sink and cooktop were perfect.
I would highly recommend SMT.

Absolutely fabulous! We employed another person several months ago and the tops were not what I had expected. But Smokey Mountain Tops were great all around. My counters now are shiny again (low gloss) and I'm so proud of them. Thomas did a fantastic job and told me about a product he uses which keeps them looking that way (Simple Green Stone Cleaner) I bought it and the Simple Green Stone polish on Amazon. Even my husband who thought the other was okay, remarked how much better they look after Thomas finished them!

We have an 11 yo house with Granite in the kitchen. The tops were not originally installed by Smokey Mountain Tops.
The double bowl stainless undermount sink had separated form the counter top and need to be re-installed.
I called two other Stone companies, without receiving any call backs. SMT returned my call promptly. Within 24 hours we had a service call scheduled for the following Friday. The installer arrived on time and completed the job within 2 hours. The work was done well, the installer was professional and the job completed at the quoted price.

We received about five different quotes for installation of granite in our new kitchen remodel. Out of all of the companies that I contacted, Dean from Smokey Mountain Tops was the most responsive and was also able to give us the best price. He also made sure that even though we received a quote from him before they ran a promo deal, that we also received the promotional discount.
Of course, much of your cost when installing granite is with the granite itself. "Builder basic" granite is the most cost effective, but also rarely matches decor and limits you to a few options. Most granite installers have "levels" of granite and get their granite directly from a separate stone distributor. We were able to have a speciality granite, Millenium Cream Leathered Granite, installed at around the same price as a tier 2 granite (one step above "builder basic"). Though the cost was still high, it was tremendously lower than most of the quotes we received for our specialty granite around town.
The field measurements were taken carefully with a laser measurer, and they were able to work with our old, not level floors, as well as building the counters around complicated obstacles (i.e. a window, slanted walls). The granite looks amazing and in the past two months has worn well. I was worried that our light cream granite might stain, but neither beets nor red wine have made any dent in the finish. We look forward to enjoying them for years to come and would definitely go back to Dean for help with any future projects.

The new counter-tops look beautiful and the installation is perfect. There was a delay with delivery / installation that held up completion of our project. What made it annoying was that the reasons were not clear and that it meant more time without a functioning kitchen sink. It wasn't that bad - I would still recommend Smokey Mountain Tops though. Quality work.

They did an excellent job. They had about more choices than I knew what to do with. They came out to measure it and when they came back to put it in it was perfect. I loved it. If I build another house that's who I'll go to.

We were very pleased. They were recommended by our contractor, and they were on time for the installation and the installation of three pieces of granite went smoothly. Both of us were concerned about the new sink, but no worries. One thing we were very impressed with- we had to have a seam on the longest piece, and you really have to look for it to find it. The granite is beautiful, by the way.
